Where does the time go?

Sickly Okay so I was supposed to finish posting my 101 in 1001 list, but since then I have been really sick. My parents came to visit and took us on a trip to the San Juan Islands. The morning that we left I came down with a horrible cold. The islands were beautiful and my children had tons of fun. I enjoyed myself, but hope to go back sometime when I'm not running a fever. I am still not 100% yet, but I will hopefully finish my list and post this afternoon or tomorrow morning. It is amazing how hards it is to write out that many goals. It is really making me look closly at my life. Say some prayers for me, I am still trying to change our lifestyle and make us healthier. I have hit a wall and need a boost!!!!! Between vacation and being sick I have lost my motivation! I need to find some kid friendly healthly dinner recipes and change things up a little bit.

Mommy Makeovers

You would think that with a name like mommy makeovers that this would be a happy blog........NOT!

I went to mops today with my friend, between the two of us, we have 9 kids, and we all rode together. As soon as we got there one of my three yr olds went into nuclear meltdown. She would not, under any circumstances, go in to any of the kids classes. And they would not let her stay screaming. Sooooo......Savannah went to the makeovers! I don't normaly give in, but the teachers didn't want her either. So instead of getting my nails done, I did hers. That didn't both me, She was well behaved. The biggest problem was that the mops leader didn't want her in there and kept trying to get her to go to the classes. This only made her cling to me more. So when we left, I was not made over and was wearing a glass of water that Savannah spilled on me. Okay so the brainiacts that we are, Rebecca and I decided to take the kids, all 9, to Mcdonalds on the way home. Ben who was good for the teachers, was now tried and screamed a cried the whole time. Savannah had a dirty diaper, we had no wipes and the bathrooms had no paper towels, so she screamed alot. My eldest two fought the whole time.....agh. They are normaly really good when we go places. We went home quickly. I got home 5 mins before the kids that I babysit showed up. My two youngest are screaming, needing changes and naps, and now I have a 1 and 2 year old that cry the whole time that their parents are gone. Screaming is now in sterio!!!!!!! In the middle of a diaper change I had to run upstairs to grab the aquaphor. Wouldn't you know it, on the way back I fell down the stairs. So, I'm crawling back to the half changed toddler, ouch! I finally, 30 mins later, have my twins napping and the other two somewhat clammed down. I think I should have stayed in bed today!!!!!!!

Eating Right

Bounce Im blogging in green to go along with my need for more green veggies in my diet. Two weeks ago I decided that my family needed to eat better!!!!    So  instead of going slow or taking baby steps, I jumped in with both feet!!!

I have removed all the junk from our house, my pregnant neighbor was pleased to receive all the chocolate, I am fazing out all the simple and processed carbs in the house, and outlawed soda. I am trying to drink lots of water and cook everynight. We haven't had any fastfood, yeahhhh, but I did give in and order pizza last night (pmsing). I general I feel really great, everyone has taken real well to the whole carbs, and as an added bonus I have lost 13lbs and my husband 15lbs. I am trying to get enough fruits and veggies in everyone, this is turning out to be the hardest part. My four year old HATES veggies, I can't find any he will eat. Thankfully my two oldest kids are in veggie heaven and the twins are still young enough to eat what they are told to.  I'm not giving up!!! He will eventally give! Right?? I am really new to the whole "heathy, whole foods" thing, so if you have any suggestions or weblinks, please let me know.

Thanks
