Dead words: mad, so, but, guy, girl, kid, also, funny
Our living room
I walk into our green and brown living room and can't help to notice how nice and clean it is. The books are all neatly arranged on the bookshelfs. The wood coffee table is straight over the brown throw rug. There is a vase with ivory flowers sitting on the table surrounded with orange candles. On either side of the coffee table are two ivory, soft leather couches with fluffy brown and green striped pillows.. There are big windows with light shining into the room. There is a large ivory scarf draped over the top of the windows. The black pellet stove has a bright fire blazing in it warming up the room. I sigh at how nice it looks as I walk by.

Hey, that looks like an awesome ship to me (sorry about the dead word "awesome." LOL
You came up with some unusual and good 'dead' words to add to your list.
Wow, I could see your living room as I read the description. You mom must have cleaned it right up before you described it, right? :-)
I did find 2 "dead" words in your paragraph: nice big. I know it's sometimes hard NOT to use these words, and it's really OK as long as the whole thing isn't full of them. It looks like you have a nice balance (oops! There I go, using "nice.") LOL
On the other hand, I LOVE your "fluffy" word and the "bright fire blazing." Excellent word choices and overall a great paragraph.
I see that you are going slowly with the lessons and being thorough. It is paying off. Nice work.

Thanks Susan. I can't take credit for the clean living room. I was gone to Mexico when he started this assignment. Bethany cracked the whip around here. I should have stayed away longer!!!!
