Bits and Bytes

Saturday, March 31, 2007 - A true story, made up by me.

Once there was a boy. He had a hard time in school and enjoyed hanging out with friend. But he felt like somthing was missing. One day his father came to him and said.

"Son how would you like it if I told you that no matter how bad of grades you got in school. When your reportcard comes around everything will be a big A+. Becouse I already did all you school for you." This amazed the boy.

"Are you shure you can do that dad? He asked.

"Yes I can son. All you have to do is to have me in your heart and to tell me about the bad stuff you've done. Well of course the boy was happy to.

"But," his Father said. "I would like you to do something for me."

"Sure I'll do anything!"

"Well," his father said leaning back in his chair. "First, when you get home from school instead of going right to the computer or TV. I want you to just stop and say hi to me and talk to me for a little. And you can call me on you cell phone whenever you want. Also I want you to obey me all the time. I want you to study and try hard for school even though I already did it for you. And finaly if anyone talks bad about me I want you to stand up for me."

"Oh, boy!" The boy yeld. "Thanks Dad!" And ran out the door to school. On the way he though. Okay how hard can this be.

Well weeks passed and months passed and the boy did what his father said.

The boy greated him every day after school. And called him alot on his cell phone to thank his father.

But one day the boy came in with a new portable game player and forgot to talk to his Dad. And one day he forgot to obey his father. And the phone calls from his son came less and less often.

Well this is all you need to know about that boy. If you haven't seen it already the moral is:

We are the boy, the Dad is our Father in Heaven. We asked him to take away our sin and he did. And we Obeyed him and stood up for him talked to him.

Now here I want you to stop and think. Have you turned away for somthing else like the boy. Or have you remaind strong. If you have how do you think your Father in Heaven feels. Maybe it's time to get back on track with God today.
