Once upon a time there was an awesome guitarist named Gary. Gary was amazing, he could play any song you can think of. Well, like any awesome guitarist Gary started a band called Gary’s Band. After a while they weren’t getting any gig and such until one day they got a phone call. It was a friend of Matt Thiessen from Relient K who had heard them one time when Gary's band was playing at a youth function. They were blown away when he told them that he thought they were good enough to go on tour with the group. With the guys in Gary's band ecstatic to be playing with such an awesome group as Relient K, they packed up and took off to California. While on the way to California it began to rain heavily. Gary began to worry they wouldn't make it to California to play! So they just sat, somberly, looking out of the windows. Then things started to get worse. First off, the rain wasn't rain at all, Gary saw when he looked harder. It was hail. And as he looked, the hail began to grow larger. Soon it was the size of ping-pong-balls! "We got to stop!" Matt Thiessen yelled back from the steering weal. They pulled off at the nearest exit and tried to get their bus under the shelter of the gas station. Now they were going to be late to play in California! The next day they realized it was July 5. So that meant when the ping pong balls were falling it is was 4 of July! The concert was on July 7 just two days away! They had to get going! They started off heading early in the morning and all taking turns driving and eating. They didn't stop for anything but gas. But soon they new they weren't gonna make it in time.
"Wait," Matt said. "I have a idea, It might just work. Here's the plan..."
Meanwhile at the concert they where just about ready to start the MC came out a untrod the lineup. "first," he said. "We have a Band doing there first concert ever, Gary's Band. Then we have Flyleaf and Relient K! But first lets watch this first video from our sponsor!"
The MC walked off the stage but half way off a concert official ran up to him. They whispered to each other and and the MC nodded. They walked off the stage.
Matt hung up his cell phone. "That's that." He said.
"It's a long shot but we'll give it a try." Gary said not sounding to confident.
Back at the concert they MC announced "Gary's Band!!" but nothing happened. "They must be running late." He said under his breath.
Just then guitar riffs started roaring over the speakers. Then bass. Finally vocals. The crowed turned there heads a saw who but Gary's Band running down through the center isle. Gary blasting away at the guitar and the others on there stuff. (except for the drummer and keyboard of course they ran ahead and jump on there instruments. But the rest of the band lingered in the crowed (that was now on there feet ) turn an near disaster into a show (almost) equal to Relient K.
Those who where looking would have saw Matt Thiessen sneak back stage where he joined the rest of the R K band. "Those guy's are great! They entered from the crowd. Ha we gotta do that sometime."
