Another Use for Denim Jumpers
Posted in Online Resources
Could
denim jumpers be any more useful? What's not to love about a wrinkle
resistant, durable, figure-flaw hiding, neutral colored article of
clothing? Just when you thought a denim jumper couldn't be more useful, denimjumpers.com
shows up online*. Just as useful as it's offline counterpart,
this site has loads of links for homeschoolers. Among the
categories are Family Living, Kids Korner, and the Homeschool Cabinet. Add it to your favorite home school bookmarks. *Admittedly, I don't own an actual denim jumper anymore and denimjumpers.com has been around a couple of years.

My grandparents live in Austin! We have only been there a few times, but I remember we went canoing down a river (Lake Austin or Lake Travis or something like that) and we went to our family reunion. It was so fun! We also loved the Mexican Food! My mom's from TX and my dad's from CA, so they like REAL Mexican Food, and we ate Mexican Food every day while we were in Austin! It was good!
Thanks for posting comments on my blog.

Oct. 26, 2005 - Re: Teaching girls to crochet...

I've tried to teach them, but I've not had much patience. SB does better than R. I just don't know how to go about showing them.I have them sit in my lap, and hold their hands to show them how to hold the hook and thread. SB has been working on a hook rug. I thought perhaps when she was finished with that, she might be able to do crocheting.
There is an article in the Fall TOS that mentions that girls used to learn to crochet and knit when they were 5 or 6. (It may have even said as early as 4) I just can't imagine. Of course, they had to do it out of neccessity, but still.
MamaBugs is on a crochet forum. She sent me some links for teaching children to crochet, but I've not had a chance to look at them, yet. Someone told me to have them start by using their finger for a hook. I'm not sure about that.

I used to love to latchook. That would probably be a good alternative to get the motor skills fne tuned. I've also thought about the plastic canvas.
Thanks for sharing.
