"Lord if you will forgive me for marrying him. I promise I will never do it again."-Ruth Bell Graham
That prayer was prayed by Ruth when she and Billy Graham were first married after their first real married dissagreement. Isn't that funny. Don't we all feel like that once in awhile. Come on ladies admit it. Once in awhile we all feel that way. I always say sometimes I just want to shake David till his teeth knock together. lol I just finished reading It's My Turn by Ruth Bell Graham. I love reading her stuff. Here is someone who was married to someone like Billy Graham and admits that they were both human. They have the same arguements we all have. She has the same fears and challenges as a mother as I do. Ruth also says that a Christian wife must balance delicately between knowing when to submit and when to outwit. Now she is not suggesting we be manipulative. Just that we take advantage of our God given differences and use them. She says never to argue with your husband when you are not looking your best. She says a woman who argues with curlers in her hair in her housecoat already has ten strikes against her. On the other hand I wonder if we look too good how much our husbands really hear of our arguement. lol But at least they will be paying attention. lol
She never says that their won't be dissagreements just that it is important to know your opponent. lol
Anyway I just wanted to share some of the things she said that I found interesting.
