The Author Tag

Do you have a pen/pencil collection?
Kinda... one in my bedside table and one in my pencilbag.

Do you prefer handwriting or typing furiously?
Uh... handwriting I think but it takes up so much room on paper and then you have to type it out on the computer eventually anyways so maybe just typing...

How often do you get inspiration?
Just about everyday

Are you blogging this on a computer or laptop?
Computer, evil Mac.

Do you get inspiration more in the early morning or late at night?
At night I think actually..

Do certain movies/books/music inspire you?
Yes, Thr3e the movie did (saw it before I read the book so it is possible the book would have too), The Inheritance Cycle (or rather the first two books of it), and I think that is it thus far.

How do you incorporate God into your stories?
I usually make my main charries unChristian then a Christian friend or co-worker or something leads them to Christ. In another story I'm considering the main charries are the Christians and they are adopted into an unChristian family.

Do you kill off your villains or make them repent?
Kill 'em off. -evil grin-

Is the majority of your characters magical beings, humans or halflings? Or something else?
Humans. Have one that they're cats, and other where there are quite a few magical critters, and one more where the main charries are 'guardians'; superhumans, or even elves you could say, though they look just like humans they're really strong and have really good senses and live a long time, though they aren't immortal.

What genre of writing are you most comfortable in? If you were to step out of your comfort zone, what would you write?
Most comfy in fantasy I think... Outside my comfort zone... ugh.. I don't know, historical stuff?

Do you work better alone or with someone else?
I don't know... if I work with someone then they can tell me to get working when I start lagging, so maybe better with someone?

Do your stories make sense, or do they ramble wildly?
I believe they make sense, at least I hope they do!

Are your characters mostly Renegades, Peacekeepers or a mish-mash?
Peacekeepers.

Are you a sucker for good grammar?
Huh? You mean I use good grammar? Then yes.

How is your handwriting?
I've been told it is pretty more than once...

How evil are your villains?
Evil. Bwahahaha...

Are you long-winded or succinct?
Succinct I think...

Do you have typical "writer" traits such as inkstains on your fingers or a pencil behind your ear?
Inkstains on my fingers. -nods- Always carrying around a notebook for ideas. -nods again-

Would someone walking past you on the street consider you normal?
Depends if I knew they were there or not. If not then they would think I was weird 'cause I'd probably be talking to myself or singing at the top of my lungs. If I kinda knew they were there, if I thought someone or something was stalking me, then they would really think I was weird 'cause I really talk to myself and act ten foot tall and bullet proof if I feel threatened. If I saw them and I thought they were going to try and kidnap me they'd think I was strange 'cause I'd ' disappear '. xD If I saw them and didn't feel threatened they'd think I was normal.

Do you write mostly poetry, stories, novels or a mixture?
Stories, novels, and songs.

Do your characters vary in accents, appearence and attitude or are they mostly the same?
-dies laughing- I have a wide variety of charries. XD My my, you've obviously not read much of my stuff. -giggle giggle-

Do real people and/or places inspire your writing?
Uh... let me think... well, some characters in movies and books inspire my writing at times. Jennifer in Thr3e being one of them.

How many blogs/websites/internet haunts do you have?
Three blogs (ColmanBlue fanblog, writing blog, and this blog), One Year Adventure Novel forum, Neopets.com.

What is your favorite character? Or do you choose to remain unbiased in case of a revolt?
At the moment? Raine. -nods- She's in a novel I'm writing with about three other people. I luvs her even though she's a bit strange in the head. xD

Do you talk to your characters? Do they talk back?
Yes and yes. They won't hush up.

Are you more comfortable with girl or boy main characters?
Girls.

Do you follow basic overused plotlines with new twists thrown in or do you depart from the norm all the time?
I usually depart from the norm. It is more fun.

Do you feel God has called you to be a writer/poet? Will you grasp "the power of the pen"?
I think he has called me to be both a writer of books and songs but also a singer.

How fun!! I love writing! It's a great way to express your feelings and no one has to read it if you don't want them to. What a cool survey!

I am glad that you are doing well. How did that piano recital thing that you mentioned go? Or was I misinformed?

I hope that you had a great birthday!! So, now how does it feel to be 18??

Have a wonderful day!!!
