But I'm not gonna do anything about it. HA!

Of the classes in which you are presently enrolled, pick the one you find least interesting. Write down all the ways YOU make the class uninteresting or less interesting.
Grammar
By not really WANTING to learn all those rules
Now write down all the ways you can re-create this class as interesting:
By thinking of it in the same way I think of a challenging game: It may be tough, but it feels good to make it in the end.

From Chapter 5: note taking. This will be short and sweet.
~~~~~~~~~ Think about the way you have conducted reviews of your notes in the past. Respond to the following statements by 'always', 'often', 'sometimes', 'seldom', or 'never'.
I review my notes immediately after class: Seldom
I conduct weekly reviews of my notes: seldom
I make summary sheets of my notes: never
I edit my notes within 24 hours: sometimes
Before class I conduct a brief review of the notes I took in the previous class: sometimes
Apply the process of "Love Your Problems" to note-taking.
Loving your problems can be used in the process of note-taking by writing the most important (or most boring) parts down in more detail and reviewing more extensively, so you can remember it well.
~~~~~~~
That's all. There was more but it involved notes from another class but I don't have any yet this year and none from last year anymore, so I'll do that part when I have notes from another class.
Recall an incident in which you had difficulty taking notes.
Describe it accurately:
I had trouble writing too quickly a couple years ago, and I couldn't take good notes because of that.
Five suggestions you can use right away to take better notes:
Notice your writing - page 141
Relate the class to your goals - page 141
Be alert to repetition - page 142
Watch the instructor's eyes - page 142
use pictures and diagrams - page 145
Consider sharing your note-taking suggestions with other students and seeing what note taking strategies work for them. You can do this by visiting http://www.hmco.com/college/success.html .
Often don't read effectively enough with what I don't want to read, mostly because of skimming.
Quickly review this chapter and select three techniques you intend to put into practice.
I intend to...
Heed the message
Read it aloud
Sweeten the task

So School has gone well so far in the first week, except Thursday when I overslept and then was out of the house for a few hours. I didn't finish my school then until late at night...
But other than that it's all gone well...
TheFisher out.
We started our school year this week. Today's our third day, and I've finished my work for today by 11:00 AM! We don't start out full force at the beginning of the year though.. We work up to full force.. I'm so happy with myself though. I just thought I'd blog that. Other than that, nothing is new..

I played RuneScape again 2 days ago (and more soon today) Kingoforgo paid me for 1225 coal: Rune pl8body, war hammer(rare), 2 full helms, woodcutting axe. I sold it all and got 173K for it. I'll be mining him more coal every little while and he'll keep paying me in Rune items.. It's a pretty nice system. LOL
Watching CFL football.
Saskatchewan vs Winnipeg IN Winnipeg, rematch of the Labor Day Classic.
Saskatchewan's off their game today, with 14 pts to winnipeg's 34 in the 4th quarter. It's pretty disappointing, but what was really awful was the stupid call the ref made a short while ago. He penalized Saskatchewan for pass interference.. but WE were on the offensive, so the ref was saying that the receiver (the one who caught the ball) of ours interfered with the pass he was trying to catch! That's not even possible! I'm amazed that the ref could even THINK about calling that.
...Anyways, I've pretty much stopped watching this game.

So I haven't blogged here in a while.. LOL Though not much has happened really that's worth blogging about. I've kind of been waiting for something exciting to blog about, but I don't really have a big exciting life.. I'm not complaining about it though, I'm still pretty happy with my current status... (is status the right term to use there...?) but I thought I'd better log in and put in an entry so I don't get deleted or something.. LOL
For school, we are doing a bible study called "The Workbook of Living Prayer". It's pretty interesting. I'm going to write about once a week about what I've discovered. Here's week 1 (Note that I've only finished 6 days so far):
Day One:
On Hunger for God
I've noticed that the reason that most teens rebel is because they have a deep hunger for God, even if they don't recognize it, and that hunger is expressing itself in their actions. It's not because they "want to be different," (because it's not being different anymore, it's being a clone of the rest of the world) so much as they want to be loved deeper than anyone but God can love them.
This hunger for God is also displayed in adults in almost the same way; they can get quite crabby, etc. which causes a lot of trouble in their lives, as well as others'.
Everyone has this hunger for God. Not a single person is without it. Most just don't recognize it.
I'm not very sure how this hunger expresses itself in me or my actions, but I intend to look deeper at myself and find out.
Day Two:
On Prayer Itself
A lot of people struggle with the same issue as I do when praying: not knowing what to pray for. All I can say about it right now is that nothing is too small or large or "stupid" enough to talk to God about.
Day Three:
On Asking God
If you look closely, you'll find that a lot of people beg God to do things. What I've learned about this is that God is good and that we need to realize that and just ask once and not beg.
Day Four
On God
God is a loving Father who wants to have a relationship with us. Even though He knows everything as it is, He still wants to hear it from us. We shouldn't be afraid to pray in public, either. It's nothing to be embarrassed about.
Day Five
On Being Conscious of God's Presence
Deliberately seeking to be conscious of God and His presence is a unique way to know He is there. It's useful in our everyday life, and especially when we're feeling down.
Day Six
More on God
An important fact to remember is that God does not seem real if we do not pray to Him and if we aren't aware of His presence and reality.

At the moment I'm grounded from the computer, so I'm not going to say anything else yet. ;)
Pretty interesting subject line, eh? LOL I guess I'd better explain it.
This is a complete update as to what's been going on.
My parents' Anniversary was on Easter Sunday this year. My sister baked them a cake saying "HAPPY EASTER-VERSARY." The cake required buttermilk. I, naturally being a fan of milk, I poured a tad of buttermilk into a small glass and tried it. Man, did I hate it! It was the most disgusting thing I've EVER drank!
Tonight we had a ham for supper with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli with melted cheese whiz. Dad put the pork rind near the broiler in the oven for a few minutes and it turns out all crispy and popping, just AMAZING! So I had some of that tonight and some cake with (real) milk while I watched the horror flick called PULSE. It's freaky stuff, dude!
Not much else has been going on, so I'm gonna wrap it up and do my other mail/messages.
We took a tour of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building today. It's a breathtaking place. The floors, pillars, part of the walls, railings, etc. were made of marble - about 32 (I think) types!
The Legislative Building's construction was begun in 1908, and completed in 1912. Once you see it, you truly understand why it took so long. The carving on the marble and the wood was beautiful. I couldn't believe that the whole building's woodcarving was done by one man - and one woodcarving set.
The galleries were probably my favorite part - the pictures were AMAZING! The Library in the Legislative Building were also awesome - it's the oldest library in all of Saskatchewan! Another GREAT part was the stairs - with a red carpet going up through the center. I loved walking on those. The Chamber was pretty cool. It's full of red carpet, and there's public seating to the East and the West - the West was facing the Government, and the East was facing the opposition.
We went back after the tour (and some lunch!) to see a question period. It was pretty interesting. We sat facing the opposition (Dad's idea, I don't know why). I liked the BIG golden scepter that has to be in there for some reason, with the end part on a pillow. I wasn't all too happy with how much they bantered back and forth while someone was speaking (most of which was irrelevant) - but what I heard (and understood!) of the issues that were brought up was VERY interesting. I liked watching the people move around - the seating was above them - and pass papers back and forth, and drink coffee (LOL).
All in all, it was a GREAT day. I loved being able to look around the most important building in the province (and drum on the marble pillars and railings!). I got a (temporary) tattoo at the end of the tour that says "I LOVE THE LEG" and has a picture of the Legislative building on it. :)
I had to go to the hospital's Emergency Room today. I spent about four hours there. It started this morning while I missed breakfast because I slept in. That was the problem. Since I'm growing so much, I went through low blood sugar from not eating. Anyway, in church while I was singing, I felt dizzy and lightheaded, so I sat down. I felt even worse soon after that, and my stomach felt empty. I went to get a glass of water. On my way back to our seats in the sanctuary, I felt weak and almost fell over while I was walking, and my eyesight went weird for a couple seconds. (I was forcing myself to be calm, and not to freak out. Dad says I almost looked too calm, but my face looked greenish) Then while I was sitting down, I leaned against Mom and soon passed out. Mom shook me and called me a couple times as Dad got his jacket on, and when I woke up, I looked at Dad getting his jacket on and I immediately grabbed mine. We walked out to the Jeep (Well, I stumbled while Dad supported me when needed), and drove to the hospital. To make a long story short, I ended up waiting for about 1 and a half hours while laying on my hospital bed (after getting my blood pressure and pulse checked), for the doctor to come, and then he talked to Mom and Dad a bit about the tests they were going to do, and then about an hour and a half later, a nurse came in and took a blood sample and then we waited for an hour again. Then the doctor came and felt my stomach, checked my eyes and throat and my breathing, and then said I was OK to go. We left and went to Boston Pizza (I had Nachos with Jalapeno peppers on the side and extra black olives), and then I ate the chocolate éclaire that Stacey bought me from the Robin's Donuts in the lobby. Then we came home. I have been feeling a LOT better since I ate. Now I'm here at the computer, and I don't intend to leave anytime soon. LOL
I don't really like Valentine's Day. Well, I can't even say that. I've just never found a reason to care for it. I don't see the need for it. I don't understand people who go about parading about Valentine's Day (V-day) like it's the center of the world. I don't get it. And that's all I can find to say about it so I'm ending this entry.
Joseph was a dreamer.That was a fact that often got him into trouble.Not so much trouble, though, as was to come.There were two particular dreams that really meant something important, and got him into even more trouble.When he told these dreams to his family, his brothers were enraged and even his father shook his head.
Soon after, Joseph’s brothers began to conspire against him.
“I say we throw him in the pit over there,” Reuben said, “And dip the coat Father specially made for him in lamb’s blood.We’ll say that an animal killed him.”
So that they did – or tried to do anyway.Though during the struggle, Simeon mistakenly slipped and let Joseph free.Joseph immediately ran to the nearest tree, about 5 feet away, and broke a long branch off.He aimed it at Judah’s heart and lunged.
Joseph missed Judah by 5 centimeters.Ephraim grabbed the opposite end of the stick and hurled Joseph toward the pit, while keeping him low to the ground.Joseph screamed as he let go of the branch and slid along the ground into the pit.He ended up with a broken leg and his brothers were worried their father would hear his cries from the pit, as their home was not far away.Suddenly a caravan was passing by, and Joseph’s brothers decided to put the branch down the hole and pull Joseph out, so they could sell him into slavery.They first acted really nice, apologized, even tended to his leg, only to throw him into the dirt and sell him.The caravan took Joseph for 20 shekels of silver.
Once the caravan reached Egypt, the traders sold Joseph to a man named Potiphar.Potiphar was an important figure in Egyptian society, and was very pleased to have such a fine young man for assistance.While Joseph was under Potiphar’s rule, Potiphar’s wife craftily got him into prison.While there he met the Chief cupbearer and chief baker.He interpreted their dreams for them.The interpretations were true – The baker was hanged and the cupbearer was restored to his position.The cupbearer forgot Joseph’s plead to tell the Pharaoh about him until the Pharaoh could find nobody to interpret his dreams, which had him very frightened.This was 2 years later.Then the cupbearer remembered Joseph and told the Pharaoh about him.God helped Joseph interpret the Pharaoh’s dreams, and Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of storing grain during the 7 years of abundance, and selling the grain through the 7 years of worldwide famine.Joseph’s brothers came to buy grain during the famine, and to make a long story shorter, Joseph forgave his brothers, but his brothers still had a hardened heart toward him, because Joseph's dreams were true and they had bowed down to him, so they decided not to let him into their land again. Pharaoh gave Joseph's family the best land in Egypt, called Goshan, while Joseph stayed in Egypt as ruler next to Pharaoh. God was with Joseph for the rest of his life.
