• Mar. 22, 2009 - Bears

I knit these little bears up to put in Audric and Nouvelle's Easter baskets. Audric's is wearing a cape and a stocking cap and Nouvelle's has pigtails and I am going to knit it some little undies since Nouvelle is potty training. :) You can find the pattern for these bears here Henri the Knit Bear

I made up the pattern for the hat and cape, and modified it to add stripes, so if you know how to knit you can do that as well! It was such a quick and easy knit. It took me around 4 hours max to knit each one! :)

I also knit the kids a bunch of easter eggs to go in their baskets as well.. Here is one!
The easter egg pattern I made up myself. It goes as follows:
CO 18 sts onto size 3 DPN's
Knit 17 rows
Row 18: (K1 K2tog) to end - 12 sts left
Row 19, 20, 21 - Knit all
Row 22 - (K2tog) to end - 6 sts left
Stuff the egg and then sew the bottom closed

I used 100% wool for all of these projects! I hope you enjoyed looking at them!

I missed this post waaay back when you first put it up. I LOVE those little bears. Now you just need a teeny tiny one knit up for your baby and you've got a whole troupe of bears. I've been wanting to knit a soft toy for a long time now and you've totally inspired me!
