The Heart of the Home

The Heart of the Home seeks to equip women as they study God's Word and encourage them to treasure God with all of their heart (Matt 6:19-21), and guard their heart (Prov. 4:23), by recognizing that they are the heart of the home.

Mmmm,bmmmmh, grrrrrruummmmmfffffff....

Oh, sorry.  That's just me trying to speak through all the packing material.  Aaaagh!  I do believe the stuff keeps growing when I turn my back.  I also believe that the movers must have picked up and delivered someone else's stuff because there is no way all this can be ours!

Anyhoo, we are here and unpacking, and unpacking, and unpacking, and unpacking, and unpacking....Okay you get the idea.

We feel so blessed as this is our first house and something about owning just makes your house feel more like a home. DS comments more on how much he loves our neighborhood, his house, and yard.  I even met some local homeschoolers the other day at an ice cream party.  Lovely ladies who are going to be so much fun to be with and get to know.  We are so blessed!

Though DH will be leaving for that 'vacation' to one of those lovely (note sarcasm), places overseas, I believe this will be a good time for us.  That's it for now with our "life-schooling."  *smile*
Perhaps I can actually blog timely this move, unlike the last one.  Either way, I will be glad to be done for a while with moving.  I truly have had more fun than anyone should be allowed to have lately.

Toodles, all!

Moving is always stressful but when you are finally moving into your own home and not someone else's it does make it exciting! Thank you for your kind comment over on my blog.

*sigh* I would rather be in the UNpacking stage than in my current state of need-to-START-packing! ;-)

We have been blessed with a whole trailer load of FREE boxes and packing materials. This includes those really nice dish packs, as well as wardrobe boxes. God is sooo good to us!

Have a great weekend, my friend. I hope you find your way out of the myriad of moving materials very soon.

Hi Janet!
How are you doing today?

Did you get that suitcase unpacked yet? ;-)

This is definitely a contest that I don't want to win! But it helps to have a handy hubby who can get enough days off in a row to actually get things done around the new place. Oh, and we really do have fun together. That is most definitely a plus!

Have a great day today, my friend,

Love,
Marsha

GODSPEED
by Edmund Blair Leighton (1900)

In medieval times, a knight wore the colors of his lady when competing in tournaments or going to battle. The knight would replace his coat of arms with the lady's colors. By offering a scarf or other small piece of clothing, it was one visible way a lady showed her devotion to her knight and also encouraged him. This went along with one of the knightly vows of protecting a lady and her interests, even unto death. This painting represents this medieval tradition. I choose this as a representation of my blog for all the military wives who send their knight-husbands to work each day, send them to the field for training, or see their husbands deploy . My blog will have some of my personal thoughts on our own journey of homeschooling or other insights or encouragements I have the leading to share. My prayers are with each and every one of you who visit my blog.
