Advanced in a Few Areas

L.J.'s favorite food is pizza.  It can be Papa Johns, Dominos, Pizza Hut or any kind of frozen pizza, he's not picky.  He has been asking for pizza the entire week.  We keep telling him we don't have any money for pizza.  Today I was sharing with LaCarlton that I found some money.  L.J. said "money, pizza".  LaCarlton and I just looked at each other and fell out laughing.  I then had to explain to him that daddy would be using that money for gas next week.

After realizing my son was a genius because he could relate money to pizza, can you imagine my amazement when I heard the suppose to be napping boy playing with his drill.  Upon walking into his room this is what I found.

Yup, it's what you think it is.  I couldn't believe it.  His diaper was as dry as a whistle.  He must have just gotten up and taken off his diaper and handled his business.  I just couldn't believe it.  The worst part is that he stepped in some of it and left a trail.  LaCarlton gave him a bath while I cleaned up.  Once again, life as a mommy is never boring.

If anyone has any words of wisdom for a first time mom dealing with this, please share them ASAP.  I debated if I would share the picture with you, but I wanted you to feel my pain and disbelief.

Thanks for visiting my blog! Oh, how funny to meet you under these hilarious (to me) circumstances! I have all my kids potty trained and it wasn't easy. My youngest two boys are twins and they have autism and didn't train until they were seven (they are 12 now). I have cleaned up my fair share of poo poo trails let me tell you!

The only advice I have is to sit him on the potty after he eats and before he naps and tell him to put his poo poo in the chair. And make sure he knows how unhappy you are about his poo on the floor! I think he's probably ready to train, mom! (How old is he?)

The first time my oldest did that he was about two and he went behind my chair and pooed on my sheet music (I play piano). Then he came out from behind the chair, looked me in the eye and said, "Ha, Ha." We had been trying to train him and I guess that was his way of saying, "I will go where and when I want, thank you very much!" Boy did his daddy have a "talk" with him about that! He never did it again!

Every kid is so different! Do you have any potty training books to read to him? There are some cute ones out there!

Enjoy that little man! They grow up way too fast!!
Love,
Karla

Welcome to the journey of a wife and a mother who is evolving! Yes, evolving! Evolving into a person who actually enjoys cooking instead of despising it. Evolving into a mother who wants to create lesson plans and teach them to her son. Evolving into a wife who wants to be a better helper to her husband. Evolving into a daughter who wants to be more and more pleasing to her Heavenly Father.
