The Journey Continues

We're Alive

It's been a while since I've blogged, but we are back.  We were down and out last week.  I became sick first, then L.J. and then LaCarlton. However the virus did not affect LaCartlon the way it did L.J. and me.  Between L.J. and I we had achy body's, diarrhea, vomiting and where just weak.

I've had a virus that affected me like this before for 24 hours, but this was a different beast.  We were sick for four days.  The last few days I thought I was better and then it would hit me like a ton of bricks.  LaCartlon ended up missing two days of school and work.  This was one of those times I was so thankful that he works for the church.  Not all jobs allow this kind of flexibility.  That's why he still went to his other job.

It was so hard for us to see L.J. suffering.  His doctor said they could not give him anything because he is under two, even though he is the size of a three year old.  He wouldn't eat anything.  That is including popsicles and jello.  He also slept off and on all day.  For those of you who know  L.J. you know he had to be sick if he wasn't bouncing or leaping off of something.

Despite all the pain I came out of this more thankful.  I told God I was so thankful that he gives me the energy to take care of my family and home.  When I started feeling better I went back the washing routine and other household duties and was thankful I could.  I was also thankful for a hubby who took care of two sick people at the same time, which was no easy task.

As you can see below L.J. is back to his normal self.

About Me

Welcome to the journey of a wife and a mother who is evolving! Yes, evolving! Evolving into a person who actually enjoys cooking instead of despising it. Evolving into a mother who wants to create lesson plans and teach them to her son. Evolving into a wife who wants to be a better helper to her husband. Evolving into a daughter who wants to be more and more pleasing to her Heavenly Father.
