We are all settled in to our new place. The place is actually coming along very well. I amazed at how God has worked all of this out. We have had people give us so many things. This includes paint, painting supplies, a lighting fixture, plates for the outlets and light switches, a toilet, and even a gas dryer.
Yup, a gas dryer (I didn't even know they made these). I went to try to buy a conversion kit for out electric dryer that we purchased about a year ago and was told that we would have to have an electrician convert the outlet to a 220. The Rhodes knew about our delimma and gave us their dryer. All I could say was WOW and thank you Lord! It's even a full size dryer. No more drying 5 bath towels at a time.
We have really seen God's favor during this move. LaCarlton and I decided we could move with no help because we were moving on a Monday which meant the kids in the youth group would have to go to school the next day and our friends would be going to work the next day. We started by ourselves but God sent the cavalry. The cavalry was the Smith's! Millicent and Detrick helped us until after 2:00 A.M. in the rain, thunder and lightening. I still get a little emotional just remembering how they had such servant hearts.
We have almost unpacked everything. While unpacking my little Picasso decided to make his own masterpiece where everyone would be sure to see it for a long time. I couldn't even get mad at him because I was the mom who was letting him write on the boxes with a blue Sharpie by the sofa.

L.J. has transitioned very well. Here he is on his bike. He loves playing outside. He would stay out there all day if we would allow him to.
Lastly, I had a great Mother's day. LaCarlton gave me the entire Saturday to myself. I went with my mother and a friend on a tour of homes in an historic neighborhood and then sewed the rest of the day. On Sunday I got another great gift, two home magazines. Does my hubby know what I like or what.
At church many of the youth that had gone away for college were back. It was so great to see them! They are growing up to be great young men and women. Here is a picture of L.J. on Mother's day with Shelsea who is currently in our youth group and her sister Shasta who attends Clark Atlanta. I tried to get her to go to A&T but she settled for Clark :) All joking aside we are very proud of her.

One of the wonderful benefits of youth ministry is seeing them blossom into young adults that are navigating life's joys and trials.
