Blog Slacker

I have been a blog slacker!  There it is.  I did it, I confessed.

So much has happened lately.  L.J. and I flew to South Carolina last week.  It was L.J.'s first airplane trip.  He kept saying he was flying like "Duncan, Amy and Truman".  They are characters in the Chubby Cubby books and videos he has.  He did a great job!  He actually slept all the way there and most of the way back.  What else could a mom ask for?  I'll have to remember to always schedule early morning flights.  Even though he had enough energy to entertain everyone before we boarded.

L.J. made sure he understood all the saftey information on the airplane

Please pray for my family since we flew to S.C. because my aunt passed away a few days after having a stroke.  Pray especially for my uncle and their two daughters.  Her passing made me realize how much tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Here is the happy boy back in his father's arms upon our arrival back to Texas

The family reunited

I've received my first tag from Lauren.  So here it goes.  Sorry Lauren, I don't know how to make your name link to your blog.  Maybe someone can enlighten me :)

Five Things People Don't Know About Me

1.  I have what my husband calls a "magazine stronghold".  I really enjoy looking at magazines.  This includes any type of home decor, business, wedding, or pregnancy magazine.  I can look at the same home decor magazine over and over again and discover some wonderful detail I had not seen the other 29 times I looked at it.

2.  "Brown baked on grease marks be gone!"  I will scrub a pot or baking pan until I get every baked on piece of everything off.  It's like I can't let it stay.  Even if it is on the bottom or side of the pot.

3.  I shave my legs with a Gillette men's razor.  I know "tmi" (to much information)!  However, I have found that it shaves so much better than all the women razors I have used and is cheaper.

4.  I enjoy reading I.R.S. publications.  I know it's a little weird but it's the truth.

5.  I want a house in West Dallas.  My husband works in the community now and we want to live there also.  Please pray for the community!

Well, that's all folks!

About Me

Welcome to the journey of a wife and a mother who is evolving! Yes, evolving! Evolving into a person who actually enjoys cooking instead of despising it. Evolving into a mother who wants to create lesson plans and teach them to her son. Evolving into a wife who wants to be a better helper to her husband. Evolving into a daughter who wants to be more and more pleasing to her Heavenly Father.
