The Journey Continues

The First

Yesterday, Coleman had his first incident with bowel movement. Yup!  I left his diaper off came back and he was playing in it like it was play dough.  Thank goodness none of it made it to his mouth.  And of course all of this happened as I'm trying to pack the boys up to go to work.

Now that wasn't the bad part.  The bad part is that I was running so late I had to leave the mess there in the floor for dad to clean up when they returned home.  Unfortunately, dad misplaced his keys and we didn't return home until after I got off of work.

So, five hours later L.J. introduces dad to the baby art.  Thankfully he cleaned it up without even asking me if I wanted him to.  I think he loves me!

Now that I have that lovely story out  I can give you the latest. You know since I haven't blogged for over a month.  Maybe I'm going to just be a monthly blogger.

I have finally adjusted to working.  It has its pros and cons but I am elated that I still can be with the boys during the day.

On to the kids. . .  L.J. and Coleman (7 months) play together now.  It is so unbelievable.  In the morning they normally play together for about an hour while I do some morning chores.  We do have the occasional moment when L.J. may swing the golf club towards Coleman's head but other than that they play well together :)  We are even convinced Coleman calls L.J.'s name all the time.  It's more of an EyJay.  There goes da da or mama being his first words.

Here are some pictures from the last few months.

Coleman went on his first road trip in August.  We drove to Arkansas for my family reunion.  He did a great job.  This picture was taken at a gas station we spent 45 mins. at.  And the only person who ate was Coleman.

This is were L.J. spent most of his time. . . in the water.

This is the fam.  Sorry I haven't e-mailed all the pictures to everyone.

This was taken a few months ago of Granny and Coleman.  I know they look alike.

My big boy doesn't do much lying around like this anymore.  He crawls everywhere.  We now have to use the gate.

Look at those teeth.  Last week he just had a tooth break through next to the tooth on the left.  How funny is it going to be to see three teeth sticking up down there?  And he is putting those teeth to good use.  When we first introduced him to food he was not too excited.  The last few weeks have been much better.  However, someone better tell him to stop yelling at me when he wants more (we are working on him signing more).

And this precious boy here still likes waffles and milk.  Everyday I am learning to be more appreciative of this little one.  His smile, humor, memory, gentleness, roughness and even the many daily challenges make it a joy to be his mother.  I'm truly thankful God gave him to us.  I pray we are good stewards of this precious gift.

About Me

Welcome to the journey of a wife and a mother who is evolving! Yes, evolving! Evolving into a person who actually enjoys cooking instead of despising it. Evolving into a mother who wants to create lesson plans and teach them to her son. Evolving into a wife who wants to be a better helper to her husband. Evolving into a daughter who wants to be more and more pleasing to her Heavenly Father.
