Ramblings of the Lindsey Mom

• Sep. 7, 2008 - Story of the World

We are using Story of the World Volume 2 for History this year. So far it is really awesome. This is our second attempt at using this. The first time, we didn't have everything we needed for the activities and the kids got really bored with it. Now that they are older, they like it a lot more. Tonight we are having a Monk's Supper. Which is lentil soup with cheddar cheese, pears, apples, crusty wheat bread and some other things as well. I am excited for this and so are the kids. We'll see how it works out.

It is amazing how someone could come up with such a fun way to learn about history. Especially with fun activities to help the kids learn about the world. I'm glad this is all laid out for me because if it wasn't, we would still be using the textbook math that we have been using.

About Me

We are a homeschool family of five. We live in Northern Maine. About 5 minutes from the Canadian border. We live in the country so we see a lot of wildlife. We homeschool our three children who are 10, 8, and 6. We have a Pomapoo named Bella and a Torti cat named Piper. I am looking to share our life as we journey through school days, special events, struggles, and every day happenings. Welcome along for the ride. It may be bumpy but it works!
