Ramblings of the Lindsey Mom
• Sep. 28, 2008 - Sunday
Today was a pretty lazy day. Yesterday we bought a new mp3 player for me and I handed down my new/old one to Hunter. Peyton got my pink one that I got at Christmas. Although this one has less space on it, it is perfect for me. It also plays the radio. I love it. So for today we have spent many hours loading the mp3 players. The kids really love listening to music as do I. I love singing to it as well. It makes our home a lot more peaceful.
We are trying to figure out what to do with our inheritance. So far we have invested some in the stock market. Bryant knows what he is doing and is getting much help from my brother in law who is a stock broker. Hopefully in a few years, if Bryant finds a better job, we will be able to go and find a house to buy. I know he doesn't want to live up here in Maine. However there may be some other options in the future.
Today I am revamping our history a little bit. Bryant doesn't want to buy the stuff to do the activities. Unfortunately I haven't worked for the last two weeks except for two days and I won't be working the next two weeks because the owners/providers are going on vacation to Florida. I know lucky them. So I don't have the money myself to buy the stuff we need. It's not even expensive stuff. I mean paper plates and plastic spoons for two separate projects. I mean come on.... Anyway. I have to figure out a way that they will remember history without the fun activities that we have been doing. I guess I will just have to keep looking at it and look on Enchanted Learning or other helpful sites to help them remember what they hear in the story part of the book.
Ok. Now I'm off to work on Language worksheets. Have a good night. |

About Me
We are a homeschool family of five. We live in Northern Maine. About 5 minutes from the Canadian border. We live in the country so we see a lot of wildlife. We homeschool our three children who are 10, 8, and 6. We have a Pomapoo named Bella and a Torti cat named Piper. I am looking to share our life as we journey through school days, special events, struggles, and every day happenings.
Welcome along for the ride. It may be bumpy but it works!
