How do you find good examples of courage, faith, leadership, etc.?  Well, for one thing, you look at godly men in your own life and identify those qualities in them.   Some of the character qualities that I see in my precious Daddy will be in my book.  Other men of significance in my life such as my grandfathers, uncles, pastor, and godly men in my church are all examples to me of what a godly man should look like.  But, what about men of the past who are fantastic examples of leadership, honesty, courage, diligence, etc.?  I need their stories too.  Right now, I would like to begin collecting a list of resources to use in writing this book.  If you have any good biography recommendations, I would love to hear them!  Some of you who have brothers might know of a good biography or life lesson book ( such as Created For Work) that has really impacted their life or that they have just enjoyed reading that would be helpful to this project.  Thank you all for the help!  It is so appreciated!

A word of clarification regarding the title of this book.  I have been pondering the title, and I feel that it portrays the wrong idea.  I do NOT think that it is a woman's place or need to seek a husband.  I believe that job should be left to the Lord, and that the man should do the seeking for a wife.  I can give testimony of two young ladies who did just that, and the Lord brought both of them godly men.  This book is not about you seeking a husband; it is about character qualities that you should be able to identify in a potential suitor.  It is not our job to make love stories happen (thank goodness!), it is God's.  Trust in the Lord, if He wants something to happen, it will happen.

I have decided to write a book.  About what?  Well, in a nutshell, it is about the qualities that godly young women seek in a husband.  I don't know where this road is going to take me, all I know that I really want this book to be written.  It's message is pretty unique, and one that needs to be addressed.  I am very excited to finally have a real book project to work on, and I feel that the Lord is behind me on this.  I know that if He is not, He will stop me, and I am perfectly fine with that!
