Shine Like Stars

Jun. 5, 2006 - Summer time.

Well, this summer is going to be very, very packed.

Packed with doing nothing but doing way too much stuff, if that makes any sense.

Well, my brother kind of decided that I was going to practice my drums for two and a half hours everyday this summer.  He also decided that he is going to get me good enough at the guitar that I feel comfortable to play in front of people.  Yeah.
So, my GBT class is over.  I kind of miss it.  More like I miss the people in it and the reading.  The questions, however, I don't miss.  At all.  They were insanely difficult.

Anyways, that's about all I feel like typing.

May. 3, 2006 - No School!

So, yeah, I'm basically done with school.  I just have two classes left and neither of them take that long.  I am sooo happy.

I haven't posted on this thing in forrrreeeevvvveeeerrrr.

And, I don't really have much to say.

Last Friday, Rebecca and I went to Girls&Guys Night Out at our Church and we went to the Salvation Army and tried on... uhh... interesting dresses.  Haha.  That was fun.

And last Sunday my family went and saw Akeelah & the Bee, which is a pretty good movie.  Although it has the same plot as Searching for Bobby Fisher, if you've ever seen that.

Well, that's all.

Nothing is really going on.  Well... that's not true.  Lol.

Last night I went to the Silver Ring Thing and a few weekends ago I went on a retreat called Winter Blast which was totally amazing.

Soooo... yeah... I could go on and on about Winter Blast.  But I won't.

Currently?  Listening to Relient K like it's going out of fashion.

Jan. 19, 2006 - Finally...

Yes.  I know I haven't updated this thing in forever.  Haha.  I haven't really had much to say...

Well my sister, my mom and I have just started Greek and I'm really enjoying it.  Hopefully by the time we are done with it we'll be able to read the New Testament in Greek which would be very cool.

Hmmm... tonight I have our Church's small group and then tomorrow I have my class where my ten page paper is due.  I'm not quite sure it is going to be ten pages since I seem to have lost one of the parts since our other computer died the other day.

The Steeler's game was amazing.  I'm not a big football buff like a lot of people I know but I did actually watch the end of this game.  If you ask me, that's the only important part anyways.

Anyway, that's all.

Jan. 1, 2006 - DavidCrowder*Band

My New Years Eve was great and my sister and brother-in-law left today, which was sad.

Anyways, I got a $25 gift certificate to Best Buy and I went and bought the new-ish David Crowder CD which is totally fantastic.  And I was listening to one of the songs on there which says "You are my joy, You are my joy, You are my joy."  How sweet is that?  God is our joy.  I just thought that that was very cool.

I'm a little tired since I got up at 9:30 this morning to do a "family church" thing instead of going to SHBC.  I have school tomorrow and I'm excited to get back in my regular schedule, I don't enjoy not doing anything.

Wednesday night is the last night as a church youth leader for one of my friends, Laura.  Which I'm kind of bummed about since she is heading off to college and will be about six hours away instead of five minutes.  I've been on loads of things with her and spent one of the greatest weeks of my summer hanging out with her.  But I know she's going to do great things for God.

Happy New Years!  My resolutions?  Exercise more, eat a little healthier and to read and memorize more scripture.

Dec. 27, 2005 - Christmas

Merry Christmas!

My Christmas was fantastic and I had a lot of fun.  However, the day after I last posted something on here, my brother Tim broke two things in his back sledding and was rushed to the hospital where he spent most of the day.  It was really scary because we didn't really know what was wrong with him; he has gotten a back brace now and has been taking Motrin so he is feeling a lot better.  Thank goodness.

Other than that our Christmas has not been too exciting.  Except for the fact that it is Christmas.  I got an unpleasant cold over Christmas which wasn't very fun since we were visiting family and I was kind of tired and talked funny.

Christmas was great and now I'm excited for the New Years.  Have any opinions on New Years Resolutions?

Dec. 20, 2005 - Narnia and Other Junk

Well on Saturday I went and saw The Chronicles of Narnia which was such a good movie.  And it was just amazing how you can totally see the Christian detail that runs through the book in the movie.  It was really cool.

Well, I'm highly enjoying my time off from school and I'm hoping to do a lot of reading since I haven't been able to do that since the summer.  Tim has a few friends staying at our house from Michigan for a few days which is fun.  We're all preparing for Christmas and we finally got our tree up and decorated it.

Tonight I have my band concert, which was cancelled last week because of the ice storm and then today I have my piano and voice lessons.  Tomorrow I'm hopefully going to go see Chronicles of Narnia again because my friend still hasn't seen it and really wants to.

Nothing better than Christmas break.

Dec. 16, 2005 - Henry V

Well today in our co-op, after finishing reading Henry V and writing papers about it, we watched the movie.  I realllllllllly enjoyed it, and Christian Bale is in it, which I was excited about.

Tomorrow I'm going to go see Chronicles of Narnia with my friend and afterwords we're going to go to the mall and finish (or start) some Christmas shopping.

I'm very happy because all of my family is starting to come back in town and it's going to be a full house this Christmas.  My two brothers have already come back and my sister Reba and my brother-in-law Travis are flying in pretty soon.  We still have yet to get our Christmas tree up but we're going to do it really soon.

Oh!  And I'm done with school for Christmas break!  Yayyyyyyy!

Dec. 15, 2005 - Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Yeahhhh.. So I got this thing...

Well.  I have three papers due tomorrow so I need to get to work on them.. and I have a band concert tonight that I do NOT want to go to.  But I'll get over it...

This weekend I'm hoping to go see Chronicles of Narnia... and finish all my Christmas shopping.  I'm almost done, I promise!  At the moment, I am enjoying a fantastic cup of tea and a brownie.  Yummmm...

I'm excited for Christmas... yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Welllll... tried to get my own picture up there, which I did, but the colors are a little off so bear with me for a while.
