My youth paster and his wife have planned it for the youth group. Unfortunately only 3 of us were planing on going...so it was going to be me and 2 boys. :/ younger boys too.

so I asked a few of my girl friends along. Maren and Shelly (see previous entry). Shelly isn't sure yet if she can come...but since I have to call and say how many people I'm bringing, I have to find out today if she can come.
and Maren is pretty much fer sure going.
funny thing,
we went to the pool yesterday and the two guys who are going to the beach tomorrow were there swimming. turns out Maren knows them from school and they are good friends. so she's excited about going.
the only thing that would keep me from going is having not completed enough school...but I've done quite a bit of reading this week.
reading for my paper for history that is. :D not just regular reading...though I do find my books very interesting. but that's for another blog post. :)

so I figured I should talk about my day-to-day life...since I haven't in a while.
so yesterday...
woke up a tad late, exercised, and got ready. Didn't get to breakfast cleanup until 11...then it was time to start lunch. :/ then clean up from lunch. I asked my mum if I could see if my new friend, Shelly, wanted to go to the pool. I ran over there, but she wasn't home yet...so I waited a bit and then went over again.
Shelly's sister, April, answered and I inquired after the state of their afternoon and wither it included the pool. :D
yessss it did! they were planing on leaving in about 30 minutes. so I raaaaced home (not that far, just next door) and told my mum. I told her that I had done a bit of school that morning and that I would clean my room before I left and all that. took care of everything...then I worked on a few pages of Alg 2 and FINALLY (haha) Shelly came to get me.
spent about....4 hours at the pool. it was so much fun! I did not get sunburned...well sort of. my shoulders are sore, but not completely red. :D I made sure I reapplyed several times. :D
after I came home, I had dinner with the familia...and then cleaned up and did MORE Alg 2.
A little after 9, my dad came in my room and said I had a visitor.
I was like...wait...what? someone to see me? NOW?

It was Shelly. April was having a late night BBQ and they wanted me to come over. My mum said I could go, but I had to be home by 10:30. fine with me, of course. :D
I quickly threw on a shirt (I was just wearing a tank top), a necklace and shoes. and I sprayed my hair right quick...I was wearing my glasses, but I was like deviltakethehindmost. I didn't feel like putting my contacts back in. :D
We didn't start eating until 9:30-ish...but the food was so good!

I love Vitamin Water.
and I feel as if I should talk about it now, just to prove my love.
I started on it when I was still in VA, just getting random ones from my work (paying of course) and trying them.
I discovered that my all time favorite is Energy.
it's yummy. I used to drink a big 32 oz twice a day. boy was I hyper.
and I also tried the Lemonade Multi-V. I only got it cause this guy I worked with said it was his favorite.
ew is what I say.
And there's also the XXX. it tastes like cherry cough drops and I love it.

This one I literally just got from the fridge and tried. It's very good. Defense raspberry-apple. gooood.
I gotta say. I don't really like grape stuff anyways. I have to be in the mood and I guess I'm never in the mood for Formula 50. Tastes like watered down grape juice. ewwww.
Essential tastes like watered down orange juice, but for some reason in this case, it's not bad. it's actually yummy. :)
This is quite possibly my new favorite (sorry energy). It's b-Relaxed Jackfruit-guava. soooo goooood.
I also just tried this one, Balance cranberry-grapefruit. I hate grapefruit but I love cranberries, so it kinda crosses out. it's a little tart in a way sugary way. aha. I won't be buying it again though.
I always need more focus. but sadly this Focus Kiwi Strawberry instead just tastes grossss. 
can you say ew? Power-c dragonfruit is ekky.
oh and my other new favorite-endurance peach-mango.
it's a party in my stomach. 
another that I love is revive fruit punch. I must say, I was unsure about this one. I do not usually like fruit punch, but this is fabulous! I like to stick it in the freezer until it gets smushy (you know what I'm talking about) and then drink it.
Last but not least, rescue green tea. yummmmmmmmy. it's so good!
of course I love green tea anyway. :)
ok so I know there are ones I missed. but Stater Bros has lots of different ones I've never tried.

So here I sit in the parking lot of a Flying J on the edge of Kingman, AZ. Just a few minutes ago I was musing to myself, my best guy friend and my mum (in that order) that I'm getting excited about this move. I'm turning seventeen next Saturday and I'm basically starting a new chapter in my life. Which, in my odd mind, brings me to my next topic: 2 songs that are influncing me right now. 2 totally different songs but nonetheless. First is Be My Escape by Relient K. The first time I heard it I was 13. My best guy friend was always telling me about bands I needed to listen to and this was one. I never downloaded it but then a few days ago I found it on a WOW Hits cd my mum has. Now I'm listening to it nonstop. There's just something in the song that I identify with. In my life I'm always looking for an escape I guess. I hate the situations I tend to get myself into. And so I'm always looking for a way out. Thus, the song. But at the same time, by removing myself from these situations, I'm not really living. I'm letting others live my life. Matt Thiessen says about this song, "this is a song inspired by living a life that is sometimes saturated by the mundane." And that's how I often feel. The 2nd song is by Taylor Swift. It's that one that goes, just another picture to burn. I can't remember the title just know. I feel that this song its not my usual but there is just something about it that I just...get. I'm moving on, both literally and figuratifally. I've left the place I've been for the past 3 years. I've left behind so much. And for the most part it's the bad. I made a lot of changes and desisions over just the past year, not to mention the previous 2. There are peole that I want to forget, and forgetting is so much easier when you are not around them. Maybe some day I can look back on these people or experiences and be fine but for now I cannot. This is not to say that my whole time there was bad, I had many good times. I also made many good friends that I plan on keeping for life. But sometimes the good doesn't always out weigh the bad. And the mean and snobby and fred-necky. But that's a whole 'nother story. Anyways, the song. It makes me feel better about wanting to move on. I can sing along, real loud, with a smile on my face. And that's something I live for.

So here is the typico "I abandoned this blog because I was too busy with life and who knows if I will keep up with it" blog post. :) Anyways, we are in Day 6 of the drive from our old home in VA to a new home in the Desert of CA. How am I posting this from the road you ask? My mum bought herself a Sidekick Slide for Mother's Day. Lucky her. Well, in terms of myself, I supose I'm a different person from almost a year ago and yet I'm the same. I still have great hair, just different. But still great. I still have lofty ambitions for myself, ones that are not always realistic, but ambitions nonetheless. I still have my odd moments but I've realized that oddness is a good thing. As who wants to be normal or cliche? I certainly don't. I will post a picture when I have a real computer. :)

I've realized in the weeks since my 16th birthday that I was expecting something about being 16.
I thought that when I went from the age of 15 to the age of 16 I would somehow stop doing all those stupid little things I do...
I realized this morning that that was a really dumb thing to think.
Yesterday I did one of my usual, 'I'm not going to listen to the little kid' things...and I made a mistake because of it...
Sunday I acted a little immature...and of course now I worry about what this one person thinks of me...
(not that I really really care, but I just wonder...)
I wish that I had told someone what I was thinking about being sixteen...and that they would have smacked me very hard and said, "you silly girl! being sixteen is just like being 15, except you can get a job and drive and etc!"
yeah...that would have been nice.
But really people keep on telling me how the year they were sixteen their lives changed....so I'm half worried half ready for things to change....
