A beacon is a light, sending out signal's to guide those who have lost their way. Or, it could be a source of inspiration. Our job, as Christian adults, is to let that light shine, so others may see Christ inside us; that we may bring other's to know Him. As a Mother, this light is equally important and inspirational. My daughter's see me every day. They see me first thing in the morning's, when my hair is mushed up on one side of my head, and frizzed on the other. They watch me, constantly, picking up items from the floor, and off of the furniture. I'm often found behind an armful of laundry, and I keep the mop bucket ready at all times. So, what signal am I sending my daughter's? Where am I guiding them? My daily routine of : laundry, making lists, planning, paying bill's, washing dishes, cleaning floors, etc.. It's all a part of life. These are things that MUST be done in order for a house to function properly... me having an active part, is how I shine my light. The girl's each have an active part in caring for our home, too... making them have an active part, is how I guide them. We all have a light, leading other's in the direction they need to go.... let your's shine bright! Until next time, :-) |
