Lovely Weekend

Wow!  What a great weekend.  My oldest child turned 10.  My daughter baked the cake almost totally by herself.

She was so proud of herself.  My son has been wanting to learn to play the guitar for a few years now.  We bought him a guitar.

He is already learning to play a little.  He LOVES the guitar.  My Dad and family came up and stayed for the weekend.  It was really good to see them.  My baby brother (11 yo) and my son played well together.

Dad went to church with us on Sunday.  Wow, what a message the Pastor preached!  I know the Lord was working in my heart.  His text verse was from Revelation 3:2

Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.

What a great verse!  It encouraged me to not give up on things that are about to die, but to hold fast to them... Things like revival in America and in our church... things like teaching my children and being REAL in front of them... things like conviction of the Spirit and repentence...

I got to spend time with Mom and Granny last week, too.  They came over and brought hot dogs from the Hot Dog King.  YUM!!!

What a great weekend!  Now if I could just get rid of this cough!
