Nov. 3, 2008 - Part of WP (Well Penned)

I just wrote this scene, and I thought you girls would like to read it, so here it is. Don't forget to let me know what you think!

~ K.A. Dawn (VintageAuthoress)

On the way back Emily quietly slipped away from the group and ran back to the willow tree where she had been watching the nymph, hoping to entice her to return. She sat up against the tree trunk after puting her basket down again, and began to watch it intently.
The wind wispered through the willow branches, and a ways away she could here a brook laughing as it sped along on it's way. Her eyes began to drift closed, she tried to keep them awake, but she just couldn't. She was just drifting off to a deep sleep when she heard an evil sounding little cackle near by. Her eyes poped open and in directly in front of her she beheld an evil looking little sprite. It was wearing all black clothes, and it's wings were a deep, deep purple. It's face was a pale silver color, but it's eyes were blacker thatn anything Emily had ever seen before, and in it's hand it held a small, pointed javaline. She gasped, she knew what these things were, a death sprite. She slowly eased herself up, and began to talk quietly to the thing.
"It's ok," she soothed, "I'm not going to hurt anything, I brought you gifts, see? You can have them, and I can bring you more if you'll let me, I have many beautiful clothes, adn buttons, and beads and ribbion and all sorts of things!"
The thing cocked it's head to one side and looked intently at her as if it was considering her preposal. It said something in a language unknown to Emily, she had never known what they would sound like, just that they wouldn't use the common language, but she knew that it was asking her if she really would bring things back, either that or if she really had them.
"Yes," she replied, "I have many nice things at home, I will bring them to you if you let me."
The sprite began to lower the javaline and back away, but then there came a call through the woods, "Emily!" Amber called, racing pell mell down the slope and through the trees.
The sprite turned, and before Emily could do a thing through the javaline into Amber's heart. Amber stoped in mid step and was shoved backwards by the force of the javaline. Those little spirtes sure could throw those javalines hard. Emily screamed and ran towards Amber, but before she could get there the sprite through another javaline and peiced Emily hard in the side. She fell to the forest floor wondering why she had ever created the death sprites.

It was Tristan who found them. He was coming from the cavern to visit his sister when he found them lying on the forest floor, dead. The death sprites poisioned the tips of the javaline, and it took but a few minutes to kill after reaching the blood stream.
Tristan ran to the outpost and alerted the men to the danger, who imeadedeatly armed themselves, and, grabbing their dogs ran off to hunt the death sprites down.

Nov. 3, 2008 - *fanfare*

Okay so I finally got around to creating it. Since this is from the NaNo group it's only logical that it should be on the NaNo account. If you'd like to share your story on here go ahead and post it. You'll get readers for sure! If you have another webpage put the link on the sidebar and make a short post here whenever you update.

Thanks!
