Hey everyone!
So today I woke up and had a really bad soar throat and a stuffy nose! Man do I hate colds! But I also don't have to do very much school work today. This is because my younger siblings are behind on their TOG work and I'm not. So this week I don't have to do any TOG work!
And that's great, because doing school when your sick is so awful! So yeah!
It's sort of weird, my latest blogs haven't really been about anything! I usually would write about something that's happening, but for some reason now I don't. Maybe it's just cause I've been in a weird mood lately.
Oh I actually do have something to say. My mom came home on Saturday evening! Yay!
But...When they did the surgery there was no stone. So what must have happened was that on Tuesday, when she was in all that pain, the stone was moving through the kidneys. So now she's in pain because they were digging around in her kidneys, just to find that nothing was in there! Very frustrating, and painful!
Im super duper excited for this weekend, because Im going on a youth retreat! I love youth retreats, I wish we could do them once a month, but then everyone would be broke. 'Cause for some weird reason, retreats are really, really pricey! Im reallt excited for this year of youth. Partly because Im in 8th grade and will be moving up to the high school youth next year. Also because I just love my youth group and the people who are in it!
My sister is gonna be sponsoring this year, but she's isn't going to be doing my grade.

My typing speed
My typing is so bad actually. I took the test and I can typ 145 letters per minute, and 25 words. But the thing is, Im really fast when Im thinking it, you know. but on the test it gives you words to type, which is what I thought it would be. So I can type faster than that, it's just I cant do it on the test!Oh man! Im so hungry!!!!!
Im gonna go eat something now!

A long time
Hey Guys! I haven't blogged in like... I don't know, 3 days. Which is a long time for me. I don't really know why I haven't written anything, I just haven't, obviously!
I don't really know what's going on with my Mom. Everyone seems to know, but me. So here is what I do know: My Mom went into the hospital on Tuesday, then apparently she is in surgery now, getting the stone removed, and then I don't know when she is gonna be home. Im guessing maybe tomarrow or monday. I hope it's tomarrow. I don't want to do another day of school without her here, it's really hard. Because my younger siblings are running around and playing, and then there I am trying to do my work. Which I can bairly do without being distracted anyways, so they make it worse. Then they always come up to you and ask you the meaning of words. And they're all words that I know the meaning of, but it's really hard to explain them. Like one time Timmy asked me what 'YES' meant! Uhhhhgggg. That one was the worst.
Haha, anyways...See maybe this is why i haven't written anything, because I have writers block! When things are happening to me, I can never remember what I wanted to say, or I had something funny to say but I don't remember. Well I guess that isn't really writters block, but you know what I mean! I just don't really know what to write about.
You know what? My friend actually told me that Im a fast typer. Which is huge. Because just last year my typing speed was probably like 2 words per minute! And... Well I don't know what it is now! You know Im gonna take one of those online typing speed tests, and then I'll tell you, okay.

Hey guys. I may or may not have said this before, I don't know. But my Mom has troubles with her kidneys! Every couple years, when her kidney stone get big enough they start to hurt her.
Now today she had those pains and she is now on her way to the hospital! Im kinda worried, because last time she went to the hospital for her kidneys she stayed for over a week. And the worst part was that we couldn't see her for the whole time she was there, because she was in a part of the hospital that only people over a certane age can go. I hope that doesn't happen again.
I don't really know how this happened, but one of the pastors from our church is driving her there! Weird, I don't know what happened because I was in my room and the my sister came in and said that she was going with Mom! So Im super confused!All-in- all, not the best first day of school!
But other than that whole deal, today has been pretty good! I got my school work done pretty quickly! It was all easy, and this year is gonna be alot lighter. That's because I am finished some of the lessons that I've done before. Like I don't have Grammar, or Spelling, or Handwriting anymore. And I know Im not supposd to cappitalize the first letter in the name of a school subject unless it's the name of a country or language, but I just really like hitting the shift button. It make s a cool sound!
Uh, that was reallt silly of me.
Oh, man. For some reason the spell check thingy, where it under lines mis-spelled word with red, isn't working! So Im very sorry if I spell everything wrong! But I hope I can make up for it with my good grammar! Just kidding!
So I hope evryone is having a good first day of school, and if you started a long time ago, I hope that whenever you started, that you had a good fist day of school!

A New School Year
Hey everyone. Im sure all of you guys are all just about to start a new school year, and don't really know how to feel about it (Or maybe you know excactly how to feel about it, I don't know!). But Im actually pretty excited, and pretty sure I've mentioned this alot in the past couple entries. But it's true.
Most of our books arrived today, which took a huge load off of my Mom, because she's been freaking out about them for a while. She usually gets them around the middle of August, but right now it's almost the end. So I(m glad we got our books. Im also glad that Im doing an art program this year, which we've never really done before!
I really do have alot to look forward to this year, and that gets me excited!
So yesterday, pretty much right when I got to church, my friend Mady (madeline) and I went over to her house. I went over there to help her and her mom to get ready for a bunch of people coming over for supper. The group went into Vancouver with a whole bunch of sandwiches ( I think it was like 180) to give out to the homeless. They said that when they first got there they were really scared that people would be really mean to them, and yell at them. But once they started giving out the lunches they all relaxed because everyone was super sweet. My sister (who was one of the people who went) said she was really surprised that even before she could say "God bless" they said it to her.
So anyways, when they got to the house, we all sat down and had an amaizing supper, and then some dessert. And we were all stuffed. It was kind of funny because Auntie Jan (Mady's mom) was so worried that there wasn't enought food, and then at the end everyone was so stuffed, and there was alot of leftovers!
After that, Mady and I desided to go into their pool at 8:00, which probably wasnt a very good idea, but it was fun anyways!

Okay guys, I thought that maybe I wouldn't bog today, but I can't help myself! I love blogging so much and I love hearing from you guys. I really hope all of you guys enjoy it just as much as I do.

Friendship Garden!
Hey there folks! So today Beck and I went for Sushi with my friends Katie( Katiemf), Mady (madeline), and Sarah. We all stuffed our faces full of that stuff.
After that Mady wanted to go to the mall, but it's a long walk to the mall, so we just went to Shopper's Drug Mart. We all picked out a drink and headed to the library.
And you may be thinking that it's a little weird to go to the library on a nice sunny Friday after noon! But we didn't actually go to the library, because there is a big fenced in garden. It's called the Friendship Garden! it's really, a very nice garden. And in the center there is a huge water fall. and let me just explain, we had walk a very long way from the resteraunt, so our feet hurt, and it was really hot! So we just played around in the water. I think we were actually allowed, because we were in there for like, I don't know, half an hour, and no one told us not to. so we just kept on doing it! My sister took a whole lot of great pictures, that Im sure you will see very soon on their blogs!
All in all, it was a pretty kick awesome day! I hope all of you are having just as good of a day as I am!

Hey guys, this is just gonna be a quick one. I just want to start off my saying thank you to all of the people who commented on the story I wrote a couple days ago. Im really glad you all liked it, and maybe I'll add another one in the future. But I'll have to write one first...That might take a while! Haha. Anyways...Im pretty excited for this school year now! Im going to my youth group's fall retreat in a couple weeks, and Im also going to be baby sitting for the womens group every Wednesday! I really love working with those kids, they're so great. And It's fun cause Im able to watch these silly babies grow up into little kids!

Under construction
Hey everyone. Do you may or may or have noticed that I have changrd my templat several times over the past one or two days. I decided that I wasn't really happy with the way my blog looked, so I just changed it! I've changed it so many times I forget what I decided to go with. The Wedding
Hey guys! today is the 23 which means that my cousin's wedding was today! It was at a chicken farm, and the weather was just perfect! Her dress was so simple and beautiful, I loved the whole thing! The reception was right after the cerimony and right next to it also. The food was really good. I like that they decided to have more of a snack than a meal, but there was enough food so that we were all stuffed. For the cake they had one small tier for the cutting of the cake, and then everyone got a cupcake. There were two flavors of cupcakes, one was London fog (white cake with ground up earl grey tea) and a nice lemon cake.
And now from sitting in the sun, too much food, smileing for pictures, and too many people say "Oh, katie, you're so tall!", I have a hammering head ache. And on that note, I think Im gonna have a nap! Please don't forget to comment and if you like my blogs please add me as your friend! ~ Katie

That Old Childhood Friend
Hey guys, I wrote this little story a couple days ago. It might not be very good, but please give me some feedback about it. I'd love to know what you think about it! please comment or if you like what I write add me as your friend.~
THAT OLD CHILDHOOD FRIEND
CRAMMED INTO THE CORNER OF AN OLD LINEN CLOSET SAT A FADED , OLD PICNIC BLANKET. THE BLANKET HAD ACCOMPANIED IT'S FAMILY ON MANY A PICNIC, BUT WAS NOW REPLACED MY NEW , MORE STYLISH ONE. AFTER SITTING IN THE CLOSET FOR MONTHS WITHOUT USE , HE FINALLY FELT THE BEACH TOWELS IN FRONT OF HIM BEING PULLED OUT, AND SQUISHED TO THE SIDE. THEN THE NEXT THING HE KNEW, HE WAS PULLED OUT FROM HIS CRUMPLED STATE AND PLACED INTO THE HANDS A OF A YOUNG WOMAN. HE FELT HER SMOOTH HANDS TIGHTLY GRIP HIS TATTERED CORNER, AS SHE DUG HER FRECKLED FACE INTO THE OLD FLORAL PATCH THAT HAD BEEN SEWN IN MANY YEARS BEFORE. SHE BREATHED IN HIS MUSKY OLD SMELL, AND RAN HER FINGERS OVER THE KETCHUP STAIN THAT SHE HAD DROPPED ON HIM AT DURING THE CANADA DAY PICNIC OF 1995. SO MANY OF HER BEST MEMORIES WERE WITH THIS RATTY, OLD QUILT. LIKE THE TIME WHEN SHE DRAPED HIM OVER HER SHOULDERS, SQUIRM ACROSS THE SHAG CARPET, AND PRETENDED TO BE A CATERPILLAR. OR ALL OF THE TIMES WHEN SHE WENT SWIMMING, FORGOT A TOWEL, AND HER MOTHER WOULD GIVE HER THE BLANKET TO USE INSTEAD.
SO GO AND RUMMAGE THROUGH YOUR ATTIC AND FIND YOUR OLD PICNIC BLANKET. THEM SPREAD IT OUT ON THE GRASS, AND REMEMBER ALL THE GREAT TIMES YOU HAD WITH THAT OLD CHILDHOOD FRIEND.

I have a whole bunch of things to say, I don't know what to call this
Hey every one, So you know how on Saturday I got a manicure done? Well on Monday the nail polish started to chip off, and I was pretty ticked. Then yesterday I was just scratching my head, and then I looked at my nails, and saw that almost all of the nail polish had come off. So all of last nigh and today I've been freaking out about it. I decided to go on the internet and see how long manicures are supposed to last, and I found that because of the things I had been doing, it was normal for the pant to be coming off this early. So with that I decided to remove the paint off of the ruined nails and paint the with a polish that I already had. And you know what, I'm pretty darn good at it if I may say so myself. This is mostly because I paid very close attention to how she was doing my nails.-------So you may be wonder just how i figured out to change the color and font on my blog. Well, I can't take any credit, because I usually use my sister's laptop and her computer doesn't give you the option of changing it. And I am now working on our new computer (which isn't really knew, it's just new for us) which lets you change the font. So I'm pretty happy about that.------- Oh, man there was something else I was gonna say, but I forget. Uhhh, well if I remember later on, I will tell you guys! Okay, so you guys know about the challenge Im doing every week, right? So...Well I'll start off by saying, no I haven't eaten any fried foods. But last night I had a dream that my whole family went back to san Fransisco, just to go to In-And-Out Burger. Which is extreamly crazy because there is one way closer to us than San Fran. But anyways, when we got there I ordered tones of fries and nothing else. Which would also be weird, because I didn't even like the freis that much. But it's a dream, it can be what ever I imagine it to be. Hehe. Anywhoo-dilly-doodle, this wasn't a real... anything, I just wanted to write something, which I do way, way too much.
