Normally when I post, its about weird things that happen in my life. But this time, I'm posting about something different. My dad recently bought Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris. He thoroughly enjoyed it, and challenged me to do something hard for God. I'm still working on finding out what I can do, but in the meantime I've looked at Alex and Brett Harris' website. Today, they posted about an organization that is raising funds to build wells in Sudan, Africa. This may seem just like any other organization, except that it was started by a sixteen year old!!! This year he hopes to raise $24,000 before December 25th, 2009. This will be able to build three wells in places that have none.

Over 1 billion people in the world today do not have access to clean water. Every fifteen seconds, a child dies of water-related diseases. That's 4 children every minute, 240 ever hour, and 2,880 ever day. We in America spend 100 billion dollars every year on bottled water, but only 10 billion dollars is needed to end the Global Water Crisis.

Now the question is: what can we do to help?

I suggest to all who read those to simply donate $1 to Dollar For A Drink. If teenagers unite, we can make a difference in the world. We can show everyone that we care what happens around us and that we are willing to do something about it. The best part about this organization is that your $1 will also go to reach people for Christ.

John 13: 34 says, " A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

Wouldn't Jesus help? Will you?

Yes its true. I have glasses. Again. Don't get me wrong, its not a bad thing. Its just going to tak a while to get used to. So now I can be called by that nickname, four eyes. well, i think six eyes would be more correct. I have two pairs of glasses. They're sharp.

So anyway, beyond that, not much is new here. at all. btw, has anyone read the book Aurelia by Anne Osturlund? I found it and it sounds really good, but i'm not sure if there's anything bad in it or not. I've looked over every comment on book sites that there possibly could be, and not one of them talks about anything bad, but i still want to be sure. Can anyone help? Thnx!!

What is going on in my life? Well, I'll tell you. First my dad hurt his neck while practicing neck defense moves, and then he tore a ligament in his shoulder while practicing forward rolls. So now he's home indefinetely. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (that he's home, not that he's hurt.) So until he gets better and the doctor says he can finish his school, he stays here. Please pray for him so he can finish school and get started on his new job! Thanks!!!

Also, we're officially moved into our house! YAY!!!!!!!!!!! and its really really nice except there's lots and lots of stairs, which is a problem, because i'm now having problems in my legs. don't really know what it is, but my mom says its possible arthritis. oi.

On top of all that, I'm writing a ton and its starting to drive me nuts!!!!!!!! I'm stuck on this thing about this scout/spy who loses his sister during an attack, and to save him, pushes him off this cliff into a river. So a day later he washes up and these guys find him and they take him to their village. and then there's all this talking and stuff. As it turns out, he is pagan and in a Christian environment. The people there try to reach him, but he's stubborn and refuses to give up his false beliefs. On top of that, he carries important documents that will take his homeland and theirs to war, but the people are incredibly unprepared for that. They convince him to stop the attack, but he's still not sure if he can. At the end, he stops the attack and becomes a Christian, is reunited with his sister, and they all go home. So far there's a lot of awesome characters (at least i think so) but Kelone is my fave. more about all that later.

So how is everyone out there? i hope you're not as miserable as I am. I found out today that I am allergic to carpet, and there's lots of it in our house. so not cool. I'm trying to stay away from it all, but its rather hard. I figured it out when I walked down the yarn aisle at the craft store and sneezed like crazy, and that was at three in the afternoon. I've been dealing with allergies all day. not cool.

As far as school goes, I am in over my head. Last week I started getting back into the norm, but this week... ugh.. I shudder just to think about all the stuff i've got to do. Two lessons of math a day, lots of science, tons of history, Latin, English, and Rhetoric (i won't even go there). Its great that i won't be so busy, but i wish it wasn't so much so i had time for other things. (like spending time with family, writing, scrapbooking, jewelry-making, etc.)

Speaking of scrapbooking and jewelry-making, I've completed at least eight pages that are ready to sell. YAY!!! I'm gonna be rich again!!!!!!!! (does a happy dance) Its just sad cuz i have to sell them all, and they're all so pretty. On top of that, I found the prettiest pendant for my friend Sara. Its circle and white with little red flowers on it, and it looks so oriental. Its perfect for her bcuz she's part Japanese. I just have to find the right beads for it. And I got a pack of metal flowers with purple rhinestones on them for my sister Megan, and i have purple rhinestones to go with them, and i'm going to put little white pearls with them! (squeals in delight) I'm so excited. Megan is going to be twelve on the 25. YAY!!!!!!!!!!! and i found the coolest paper doll set for Abigail and Cassandra. It has most of the Disney princesses with tons of really pretty clothes, shoes, jewelry, etc. Its so awesome!! I couldn't get it today bcuz i only had ten dollars and i had to get green paper for a page and glue dots and the bead stuff. My mom hid it behind a High School Musical book bcuz it was the next to last one, and we have to get it Tuesday cuz we hav ea 40% off coupon. I love coupons!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I've got to go now.

First off, I am so sorry to everyone who has commented me or PM'd me and not gotten a quick response. Moving into a new house takes absolutely forever. I shall try my hardest not to lack off again!!

Second order of business: I was wondering (this question for girls only) what anyone thought of having guys for friends. Everyone I know thinks its weird, and i was wondering, am I the only one out there that doesn't think its weird?
