More reviews
I just thought since i've done a few reviews on books, i might as well do some on movies and music. Let's see.... what can i recommend?
Recently, my family and I have been watching the Christy movies. This series is an excellent addition to any video library. It is set in the Smokey Mountains and has to do with a schoolteacher trying to make a difference in the people who live there. There are scenes of violence, but it is not graffic, despite the shown blood or bruises. The people who lived in those mountains were superstitious and some used bad language, mostly the men. Besides that, this movie series is clean and has a very good message.
what else? I really haven't watched much, besides A Cinderella Story with Hillary Duff. This is a cute movie, but there is some over excessed kissing throughout, some inuendo, and a whole lot of attitude. There is one girl who has several peircings on her face, and alot of the girls in the movie are dressed immodestly. The story line is cute, with humor throughout. I would not recommend this movie for anyone under 13, because of the content.
I listen to alot of music. If there is anything i can recommend, it would be The Von Trapp Children. They are the great (great?) grandchildren of Maria Von Trapp, whom we are all familiar with from the movie The Sound of Music. There are four kids in the group, and their music is very uplifting, clean, and simple. They have done many songs from various movies, such as Anastasia (the cartoon), Prince of Egypt, and have redone some of the songs from The Sound of Music. I highly recommend this group to anyone of any age.
Another good group for any age is PureNRG. This group is very upbeat, and as far as I know, has three albums out. The music is very clean, it is Christian, and has many familiar songs, such as Ain't No Mountain High Enough, and Call On Jesus. I highly recommend them to anyone.
I guess that's it.
