Friday, June 19, 2009 A book to read....
Yes, I am here again, posting on this dreadfully neglected blog. I need to get better at it. Besides that, I just finished Volume 1 in the Christy Miller series. If you have not read it, you MUST!!!!!!!!! These books are amazing and highly recommendable. Please note, Christy does deal with some issues in the first book and drugs are mentioned being used. Also, her friend Allyssa goes through some troubling times and vents about it to her. Beisdes that, these books are amazing and a must read!!!! I could so relate to her! It was amazing!!!!
Yep, i guess that's it. Perhaps my next post will be longer.

Tuesday, June 9, 2009 Moving, almost done....
Well, we're almost done with moving, thank heaven. We're in VA and still have some driving to do tomorrow, but that's nothing compared to the last 2 days. I'm so tired today, and we have to be on the road at 7 tomorrow morning. oi. and my little sister, Rebecca, has molars coming in. Not cool, especially now. So, here I am on my Grandparents' computer typing away when I could be doing better things. LIke nothing. Well, I had 2 really neat story ideas, but they probably won't turn into anything big. oh well. Well, I'm done rambling.

Monday, June 1, 2009 Weird stuff
Boy, its been a long time since I've last posted. Why? Well, for starters, my family and i are getting ready to move. Again. I hate moving. Frustration, stress, new address, all that yuck stuff. Yuck. Anyway, at the moment I'm in the middle of posting, importing songs from my dad's cds to my iPod for the trip and playing a game of minesweeper. and writing. and listening to my iPod. and talking to my dad. That's alot of stuff to be doing at once. Earlier i was painting with my mom. We're renting our house out, and the hallway is a hideous cream color. Now its white. Sorta. We still have a little more to do. And my hands were hurting horribly. And I got a facebook. YAY!!!!!!! I have alot of church friends on there, and lots of other guys I haven't talked to in forever. Most of them are adults. let's see, what else is going on? I don't know. Oh yeah, I went to the beach last night with the church youth and was horribly bored cuz everyone was playing kickball and that is not one of my favorite games to play. So i walked around for a long time holding an interesting looking stick that i found in the sand. and the night before my family and i went to a friend's wedding, and it was soooo beautiful!!!!!!!! Amber (the bride) was wearing a sleeveless floor length dress, and it was white, and her veil was so long!!!! and there were candles everywhere!!!!! *romantic sigh* and that was the first wedding i've ever been to. she started crying and the pastor (who just happened to be the groom's dad) started crying. It was just so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, enough of all that. I don't really know what else to talk about, so i shall be done.

Sunday, May 10, 2009 So sad!!!!!!!!!
Today is without a doubt the saddest day of my life!!!!!!!!!! One of my nest friends, Connie, is leaving Wednesday because her family is moving to the Phillipines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cried so hard, and so did she, and her sisters, and Kelsey (another of my best friends.) It was depressing. Her dad is a missionary there, so they're staying put.
Well, just to help ease the depression of her leaving, I came up with a trilogy I'm going to write. The first book is called Silenced. Won't say anything about it, except that it is fiction (obviously!) and it is set in the end times. This will be my main focus until it is finished. Then i have the other two books. If I ever get anywhere on it, you may see it on my story blog, through this handy dandy link, here.
So anyway, that is all. boohoo, waaah, and all that other crying.

Sunday, April 5, 2009 Everything I've done this week and more
Well, here we go again. Guess I'll start with school.
School: So far, I've had three tests this past week, and in mine own opinion, i did horribly on all three of them. Science, math, and (ugh!!!!) english. I hate english. I'm also working on a research paper, and i have to put into a rough draft form this week, on top of finishing math and science, because we are moving next month. but that's something on a totally different subject.
Life in general: Well, my life has just gotten a whole lot crazier these past two weeks. First, my dad gets a job at the Pentagon (YAY DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), then the rest of the time is crowded with contests and practices and who knows what else, phone calls, emails, well, you get the idea. Anyway, last wednesday, the choir I'm in (the Kingdom Seekers choir) perfomed in a contest, and though i did not attend practice friday, i heard we did excellent. So now we are down to practicing one song, which we are already almost done with.
Oh yeah, next month we're moving, or at least we think it will be next month. Can't say for sure, but its the most likely. So, on top of everything going on, we are slowly packing our house, looking for a new house, and looking for someone to rent our house. Anyone interested? Okay, I'm joking. lol. So, that's what is going on in life down on the coast, now here's whats happening in your neck of the woods. (Okay, that was random, I was just copying what the weather man on the Today show says after he gives the weather all around the U.S. and then it switches to the state's weather.)
My writing: Yes, and here comes the scariest part of the post. Well, that's a bit exagerated. It will be the strangest.
As to my writing, I am currently working on a series of stories, with a few small projects off to the side. And rejoice for me!!! I have finally named them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not very good at naming things i write, so this is a BIG deal for me. Here's what i'm working on:
A Call To Arms
Sixteen year old Adelaide Channing has lived with her Aunt Elizabeth Ducas for nine years. At last, tiring of her proper life, she disguises herself as a soldier and joins General Washington's army and befriends Jonathan and James Howard. But the adventure she wanted turns into a cruel and bloody nightmare, and a fight not just for freedom, but for survival.
The Threshwing Dragon
Onora Whesting has been accused of stealing a valuable item from her home city: the only remaining egg of a Threshwing dragon, a species unlike any other dragon there has ever been. But she didn't steal it. Disguised as a boy, she sets out to recover the egg and prove her innocence.
Time Guardians
A group of ordinary people called to protect one thing: time. The evil Lord Gorn desires to steal the world's time from it, completely unraveling everything the world is and ever will be. The Time Guardians are everywhere, but their job is becoming harder than they think. Will they stop Gorn before he stops time?
The Last
Mike seems just like an ordinary teenager living in New York City. But he has a secret, one he's hidden for too long. Desperate to find where he belongs, he teams up with enstranged Lisa, a woman with an obsession for mytholigical creatures, Richards, a high school proffessor, and Gwynne, Lisa's daughter. Together, the four unravel the mysteries surrounding Mike. But there is another who is after the same thing, and for the wrong reasons. Can they solve the puzzle before he does?
The Mind Game
The Earth is blowing up from the inside. People everywhere are coming down with strange illnesses, unlike anyone has ever seen. To save those left, a space craft is constructed and leaves Earth. But a sinister plot lies behind the so called rescue mission. Can one boy and one girl figure it out before its too late?
Okay, I know it seems like a lot, and trust me, i have a ton more. I had thought of a cool idea almost a year ago, and have just now come up with a good ending for it, well, almost. I haven't actually started it yet, and i don't even know what to call it. Here it is, and if anyone can thin of a cool name for it, that would be really helpful! Thnx!
Theodore "Stomp" Lening is informed at his boarding school in London that his parents have disappeared from their vacation spot in the English countryside. Once there, he meets a silent orphan girl who knows more than she says, greif stricken widow who babbles in riddles, a hotel clerk who says he sees ghosts at night, a librarian with short term memory loss, and an elderly man who thinks he's still living in the past. Can one of them have something to do with Stomp's parents? Or is there another?
For some mysterious reason, those last two, The Mind Game and the one above are both kind of sci-fi/scary. not exactly horror, but you don't want to know what i have planned for the ending of Stomp's story. It's wierd, and scary, and just plain unreal. And yes, I am cruel. Heartless even. I've listened to this song on one of my dad's cds, Michael W. Smith's Freedom cd, and while he can hear trolls coming out of a cave and hiding behind mushrooms (strange) I am hearing World War 2, with a British guy running through some German occupied town to get a message from a captured general, or something like that, he gets spotted, tries running, climbs a ladder, and gets shot down and dies. Sad, ins't it? Unfortunetly, that's how my mind works sometimes.
Well, i guess that's it. As for the stories i wrote about, if there is any of them you would like to see on here, please let me know. But note, they are still in working progress. It may take me a while to get them on, especially with us moving and all that.

Sunday, March 22, 2009 About my writing.
Oh, yes, one more thing, on top of all the other posts i've done today. I've decided to take a break from fantasy writing. I'm now switching to historical and biblical fiction. And i'm not really sure if those two are the same, because the Bible is historical and all that, but that's what i'm going to do.
I shall post some of my work on here when i so feel like it, but only when i actually have something.
Oh, and by the way, last night we watched most of God's Outlaw: The Story of William Tyndale. If you have not seen it, you must!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Muahhahahaha!!!!!! No seriously, see it. Its amazing!!!!!
And last night, for mysterious reasons i cannot yet explain, i started talking with a british accent. I've never been to Britain, or met anyone from Britian, but we did have a German foriegn exchange student sit in our choir practice with us on Friday! That was really cool.
I'm done now, and i must sign out. Until next week, all my lovely readers.

Sunday, March 22, 2009 Short story challenge
I came up with a cool short story challenge, and its for anyone to do, as long as you're adventurous enough. I will also be doing this with my sisters (and mom and dad if they want to). The rules are simple, because there are hardly any rules. Basically, your short story can be on anything at all, but it must include two or more of the following:
- a gorilla in a pink tutu
- a flamingo that dances
- an astronaut in a striped space suit
- a fast food resturaunt that only serves pickles
- a three sheep choir
The story must also include the phrase:
"Great googly moogly! What am i going to do now?"
For those who do it, good luck!!

Sunday, March 22, 2009 For the Birds
This week for me has been pretty much all about birds, hence the title. The other day Abigail saw a bluebird sitting on one of our birdfeeders, and she ran outside to pet it. She's nature crazy. Then at breakfast, my dad told us he had seen three doves sitting under a tree, just sitting there cooing. Then all of a sudden.. (why is it whenever that phrase is used, you know something is going to happen? must be me...) ... this hawk falls out of the tree, and when i say falls, i mean falls. it lands on the dove in the middle and the other two fly off. The hawk looks to the left and right then starts pulling feathers off the poor dove. We all thought it was awesome, and i wish i had been there to see it. (yes, i'm soo cruel) i did feel a little bad for the dove, but hey, that's life. Then my dad says he was talking with this lady who is scared of everything in nature (I'm even sure if there was a pinecone in front of her, she would run away screaming.) they stop talking and she starts to get in her car (and my dad was on the other side) and then she comes running around the car screaming "Something moved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" so my dad goes around the car and looks under this bush where she said she had seen it, and there is the strangest bird. It was colorful like reds and blues and greys and all that. It had long toes and then it just came out of the bush and waddled away.
So, my week has been on birds. And my sister just came in "We just saw a bluebird!" Big deal. I've seen a bluebird before.
