... and so I ran. I ran with my bear feet against the cold snow to remind me that the same coldness is hidden in my heart. I ran until my lungs were about to burst, I ran until I could find no more path before me, I ran hoping I would find you in the end. What a fool I've been. There is nothing here but emptiness. As the breeze blows on my hair I close my eyes and smile.. for a moment I thought it was your gentle touch, your lips whispering words of tenderness, but it was nothing but the wind taking away more of me. Looking up to the sky I glance back to see the crimson trail I've been leaving behind, I hate this weakness. After a deep breath I decide I shall not miss anything in this life, I shed my skin and give myself into the darkness that so gently calls my name. It embraces me with its long strong arms and holds me so tightly against it that I lose my last breath crying out your name. But you'll never hear it. |

Alright, I do feel kindof guilty. But perhaps if i got a comment every once in a while. I would spend more time here... Easter program went off without a hitch...alright, thats a lie. Poor Thaddeus got over heated and almost had a stroke. slurred and stuttered a few lines...james the less forgot his...the choir, (aka Me) totally skipped a whole song one of the nights. I was on makeup crew and had a lovely time getting all these bearded farmers into mascara and blush...some of the guys were way to pretty...long lashes and rosy red cheeks. ;) Now I am getting ready for a homeschool performing arts night tomorrow. I am doing a dance to the song "davy jones" from pirates of the carrabian. Its pretty awesome. Recital is getting close. 2 more weeks of practice...My dance teacher is getting frustered with us, and that is making me nervous, and I am never nervous. I am called away to make dinner, but I promise that I shall be back sooner this time. Costume for tomorrow. That shoulder strap?...its an over skirt. :P ![]() |

Breathe, just breathe. Feel, feel the rhythm. In,out. In, out. The strings start, echoing your breaths. Then the percussion, mimicking the beatings of your heart. Slowly. Bump, bump. The piano, like the flutter of a lovers stomach, twinkles... The music...its alive! Music is felt, not merely heard. Its an emotion, a sixth sense. A very movement of the soul. Music is the only external medium that can penetrate the spirit, that speaks to the conscience. Music is a newborns laugh. Its the weeping of a mother. The sigh of a lover, the cry of a soldier. Music is the sunshine streaming through the rain. Its the smell of spring's first flowers. Its a kiss, a dance, a caress... Its...Life. |

Summer time is here at last And now evening has fell. Twilight now is coming on Nights casting its spell. Here we sit atop my roof And watch the magic go. Lady moon and courtier stars Make shadows down below. Somehow this times enchanted This time 'tween day and day. The shadows now breathe secrets, And wind sweet music plays. I feel your arms go 'round me I close my eyes and sigh. We're here against the chimney, Our spirits flying high. Below the night is quiet and still Inside no sound is heard. I feel you breathing 'gainst me now, We need not say a word. For we know though evening cease, And darkness turn to day. The shadows fade, as the moon Goes dancing on here way. Though the stars may winking flee, And nights song may fade away, Our own enchanted music stays As does my love to thee. So I pray to God above As I hold you in my arms, Lord preserve this moment now May morning never come. |

Ok were do I start? I went down to the lake this weekend with some friends. The trip was awesome I went boating and tubing and swimming and all kindof of fun stuff...however...I am now suffering the effect of a few days of pleasure. Lets start with the sunburn, add only 3 hours of sleep that were spent curled in a ball at someones feet, which adds an achy body. throw in the aftermath of a caffeine rush from the 16 cans of Dew we drank in 3 hours last night. maybe a little carsickness from the 2 hour ride in the back of a bus back home....need I mention dehydration? I come home and levi ask me why I am grumpy...IM NOT GRUMPY!!! Acctually I am really not. The "night of" I am never grumpy no matter how late it is but if I am not allowed sleep the next afternoon... Ok enough complaining. I shall bear my burden, find some aloe some water and a fluffy pillow. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Alright, independence day, aka, 4th of July...Why do they say that? No one ever says "the 25th of December". Anyway everything was the same as it is every year. we went to my aunt Nancys to swim (she has an underground pool) then to my Grandmas for a bbq ( all these are in my hometown) then back to my aunts after dinner for fireworks till 11:30. After which unbeknownst to anyone I sneak up to my roof and watch the rest of the town finish of theirs... Why does everything look different at night? What is ordinary and mundane in daylight takes on a Beautiful and mysterious personality in the moonlight. The dark trees silhouetted against the starry sky act like giant guards protection the town as everything is blanketed in shadows and moonbeams, The fireworks try their best to out-sparkle the ever-shining stars. And there is sit on my roof peak, Back against the chimney, Hearing and seeing everything. Listening to the music of the night. Night is a good time to listen. ~Listen~ |

Saterday my older sister Sami was married. putting "guess who?" next in line. The wedding was beautiful, the reception lively, and ran late...ZZZzzzzz. My Bff was there the whole time so it was cool. My Grandpa danced with me and tried to teach me this new jazz dance. He is a really good dancer and it was awesome. We left once the drinks started to take effect on some people. I am working on my guitar more this week. Finger nails are gone, and I have a couple newsboys song memorized and you can tell its music! Fingers are sore though, Those caulouses better hurry. My mom has a homeschool seminar she is doing this weekend so I will be helping her with that. Elis fourth birthday is this friday so we are having a party Thursday. He wants a larry- boy party so I want to do a "fib" cake. Any way there is my exiting weekend. |

My cousin took my shopping and I bought 2 new pairs of pumps(pix later). the wednesday was the graduation and Thursday we went out to diner after which we came back to my aunts were my friend Kayla came with her brother Josh to pick me up. I had met Kayla at a homeschool convention 3 years ago and we talked for about 10 minuets. We kept contact by phone and they drove 6 hours to pick me up at my aunts. Though I hadn't seen them in years we were all talking and having fun. I was so hyper while everyone else was dozing. ![]() ![]() We got there at 4 30am. |
The day before I got there one of their goats died, so I got to see the vet cut it up.![]() ![]() On Saterday I put kaylas hair in curler and she went to wal-mart like that. yuck we both look nasty(sorry kayla)Then we had a bon fire! I got to meet all their friends and I even got a few to watch pride and predjudice with me. we played vollyball and apples to apples. Kayla and Tadi, so pretty. Recital went awesome! I made it through all with no cold sores which I annually get with nervousness. I felt better with my technic and positions then usual. My best friends came and my room is now full of flowers. afterwards we went to perkins for pie(peanut butter mousse!) and of course it left me with a bitter/sweet feeling as we are now done for the summer. we had one last class for evaluations and during our hour break between classes went down to taco johns. Thus ends Dance year number seven*sniff*. |

Last night was My dance rehersal and this morning was the little girls rehersal... I have never seen so many puffy people under 3 feet in my life, this one class reminded me of a little pile of marshmallows. Her boys class has grown so much. They did a tap dance in dress shirts and kakis, so cute, like a dozen mini Gene Kellys. overall it went ok I am really excited about Tomarrow. Lets see... Yesterday night I had rehersal and all assignments due. This morning was little girls rehersal. Tonight is worship practice and Tomarrow church. then little recital, then my recital in evening. Monday I have me last day of dance for evaluation for next year. The rest of the week thankfully uneventfull other than baseball and soccer practices and games. on the 18 I am going to $&%(#&%* with my grandparents for my cousins graduation then from there friends are picking me up and I am spending a week in @&$*@&$ with a friend. I Just got back from a preasentation of handle's Messiah. Ok coming from hicks in Nebraska it was pretty awesome. It is one of my favorite arrangements. The bass solo for "The trumpet shall sound" is so amazing. During the intermission a 5th grader played the piano...Ok I love Mozarts "Alla Turka" but he played so stiff. No emotion or expression over crossed his face and it made me almost mad to see the music treated with such cold manners. (even if it was almost perfect in technic). Any how............what else............ A very distinguished looking old man told Me I looked very beautiful as we were leaving. I love old guys!!!! Any way thats how I know its going to be a good week. "Think of me, Think of me fondly. When we've said goodbye. Remember me once in a while please promise me you'll try, Then you'll find that once again you long to take my heart and again be free. But please promise me that sometimes you will think of me." Flowers fade the fruits of summer fade They have their seasons so do we, but please promise me that sometimes you------will------think---of------meeeeeee" Webbers "Phantom of the Opera" (Sorry my dudettes, its an addiction) |

OVER 60 POINTS: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care." You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you. 51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality; a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and adventuresome, someone who will try anything once; someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate. 41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting; someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well balanced not to let it go to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding; someone who'll always cheer them u p and help them out. 31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken. 21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature. UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions & who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you' re boring. Only those who know you well know that you aren't. Now copy and past this as a new entry, but with your score were mine is. |

Last night we went to a blue grass concert at church. I am not a big fan of blue grass but they were pretty good. They added drums and keyboard and it was young people not old men in beards. Look them up. Simple Grace. |
|
The concert was awesome. I went with my brother in law and sister but sat by myself most of the time. those who played was Pillar, Wavorly, and Building 429. all were very good. I really liked Wavorly. Then today I got a Parakeet, very pretty. He sang a little only but has been very quite. At first he was very scared and would bite everyone then he calmed down and let me pet him... then I think I traumatized him when I moved him to clean his cage and now he is like the bird from hell Mom feared he would be. I know He will get used to me but I took my dog on a walk that I had been neglecting. that meanie head made me appreciate my loving and devoted puppy. (Ok not really a puppy) I Think I will name him Mr. Charles Fitzwilliam Knightly, Or Romeo Fitzwilliam Geovanni. Mom said I should name him captain Jack (sparrow) thats cute too, any way here he is... ![]() |
|
I was going to go to my friends volly-ball game and they warned me I might be made to play if not very many people showed. I played 1 season few years ago and it was a nightmare, I went to serve, missed the ball and fell on my face... among other things. Well no one showed. Just the 3 of us. The coach/youth pastor wasn't even there so we left. Not keen on the idea of playing a practice round with a bunch of strangers from the juvie home. (the boys home is a block down my street btw.) |
|
I spent the day before the day of and the day after valentines babysitting. I so Friday I spent the night with some friends and then Saterday bought 2 jackets one red one black double breasted and very cute, also a pair of sunglasses. for 5 bucks each I did pretty good. One of our senators, a Mrs, Schimik, has introduced a bill that is now in commity. It is called LB1141. It could make Nebraska the hardest state to homeschool in. For more information click here In summery it says that every child over 6 will have to take a government created test, and/or send in a portfolio or workbook to the government that will be gone over by a "government certified educator"!! If they fail the test(that may or may not be on things you have studied) or the "educator" thinks they are not were they should be they will be forced to go to public school and may even be taken away from the parents. It so happens that Schimik is the only senator that is going in on this bill, that there has not been a demand for this bill from the people, and that her husband is the president for something or other education board(don't quote me) who do not love Homeschooling. As you may have guessed the homeschoolers of Nebraska were not thrilled and a legislative day was planned for last Wednesday. Over 600 homeschoolers (a thousand were expected but there was a bad blizzard) packed into the capital we heard lectures by the Governor(saying he would veto the bill if it came to that) and a few senators saying they would vote against it. we then each talked to our own senator and spoke about our concerns. Even those not necessarily pro-homeschooling are recognizing the utter ubsurdity of this bill. It was a very awesome experience and the building was beautiful( I was unable to go to the huge library though*sob*) |

Last Saterday I went to a funeral of a Reverend Basil Hunn(everyone called him Brother Hunn). He died on January 1st 2008, just 3 days shy of 105 years old. He was a former Pastor of my old church and pastor ameratus(k, I cant spell) for years, and bible teacher. He did not have the age barer that many have and connected with everyone. He was an amazing pastor and a powerful prayer. He went to visit his children in nursing home! he always brought me a present, a chocolate, a mint or such and left it under his hat every Sunday. He could not speak more then a few sentences without quoting scripture and kept faith for almost 90 years. He waited at a store until it opened to return 11 cents they had mistakenly given him as extra change, he couldn't sleep saying if he died in his sleep he didn't know how he would explain it to Jesus. And so passed this godly man, finally reunited with his dear wife and sweet Jesus. |

Well... Its a new year. Yesterday I was hoping to go to church for the party but my parents made other plans(or lack thereof) so we stayed home and watched a movie. My resolutions this year are some repeats from last year. 1. To Clean up my double Pirouette 'en pointe. 2. To get my license(since it didn't happen this year.) 3. To get in shape.(Ok I know its on everyones list) 4. Land a steady job while keeping up with school. In helping with the last one I went to clean my dance teachers house today. I was there 4 1/2 hours and manage to get her bedroom, closet, and bathroom finished. Her house is really big and mostly just messy and dusty.(way better then the crusted on 30 year old stuff at my Grandpas) But it will be time consuming. well thats about it. What are your Resolutions? |

My littlest sisters 8th birthday was yesterday and I am the official party planner/game master... So... she was having an artist party and I Painted on a French mustache and Stuffed my hair back and Wore my barret (french hat/ I cant spell) and a brown plaid blazer. Your not getting the picture of that though. ![]() It was fun then we went out to eat. So today after church we had a deer roast, I put in in the slow cooker overnight and it kind of burned. ![]() I really hope we are going to the church for new years but as usual Dad never tells us plans till the last minute. After new years we are also doing a time of fasting and prayer so that'll be cool. Oh I added pix of my doll house so look in my album. K? |

Christmas has come upon us too fast again this year. as I get older there is more doing and less waiting so the time flys and I am not allowed to fully enjoy the spirit of the season. I do love Christmas though. I Love "The Christmas Carol" and listen to the radio drama all the time. The whole simplicity of the way Dickens portrays the season strikes me. The kindness and sharing Joy and laughter even between strangers, just because its Christmas! Tomarrow the plans are much the same as they have been my whole life. Christmas eve we go to Moms Dads for Pizza, He reads "the night before Christmas" and the Christmas story from luke. Then we open presents. Then Christmas morning my sisters will come here and open preasents then To Grandmothers house we go... My Dads parents, and spend the day eating and opening preasents and if we are lucky play a card game or two. What are Your Christmas plans? |

It’s 4 days ‘fore Christmas and here at our house, everyone’s bustling, thank God there’s no mouse. No stockings, but garland is hanging so bright, And outdoors the house is all trimmed with the lights. Nativities cover each table and shelf, No santa clause here, not one tiny elf. The presents are piled so high on the bed, The children are cranky, they must all need fed. Then tackle those dozens of presents to wrap, Then rock with the baby to give him a nap. Mail grandmother’s gift that must travel so far. Make gifts for the neighbors, something in a jar. Let’s sew up some ponchos and not take a rest, Then lounge pants for boys, and chaps and a vest. Let’s have our friends over and exchange our toys. That will bring smiles to both girls and boys. And caroling we’ll go after dinner together, We couldn’t have asked for much better weather. Now haircuts to get and pictures to take, the one in our card looks like a mistake. Clean up the house, here you take the broom. Sister is coming, clean out the guest room. Please wash the sheets. Then vacuum the floor. Can you get the phone, while I get the door? The program is over, the children did great. They each had a part and none came in late. Joseph, who’s otherwise usually called Jed. Played with the star, and poked Jesus in bed. We’ll all go to church, communion to take, Oh that reminds me, the bread I must bake. We’ll take a nativity to sister’s grave. And come home for cookies that our dear friends gave. We’ll all go to grandpa’s, that is most of us. Have dinner and presents, and relax - we must. Then wake in the morning and open gifts here, Mark actually has Christmas off for this year! Then over to in-laws, more holiday cheer, Then back home to crash before the New Year. Though busy we are, it’s all for one cause, To spread our God’s love, not play santa clause. We love each one dearly, want to show everyone, That God came to earth in the form of His Son. To pay for our sins and bring to us new birth, To make us like Him. We must honor His worth. That babe in a manger, is King over all, Read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and then Paul. He’s risen victorious, conquered death and the grave, He made you and me, and is worthy of praise. May all of your focus in this busy time, Be upon the Lord Jesus, our God that’s Divine. May all celebrations, so busy yet fun, Bring glory to God, and bless God every one. |

I made this for the first time today and they kids were complaining once they saw me cutting the veggies. After I told them what it was(they love the movie) and they ate it they were Thanking me(with a little coxing). It said 6-8 servings but I would need to at least double and a half for our family of 8. 1 med eggplant (about 1 1/2 lbs) 2 small zucchini(about 1/2 lbs) 1 C finely chopped green peppers 1 med finely chopped onion 4 med tomatoes peeled and quartered ( an easy way is to cut a x into the bottom of each and put into boiling water for 30 seconds then into cold water and the skins slide of.) 1/4 c salad oil (i used Olive) 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tsps, salt 1/4 tsp pepper or to tast. wash and peel eggplant and cut into 1/2 inch cubes. wash zucchini, remove ends and cut into 1/2 inch slices. cook all ingredients together till hot. cover and cook 10 minutes or until veggies are crisp/tender. |

Joy of Joys! We are dyeing our pointe shoes red for recital! I will be cleaning my dance teachers house after the new year in exchange for new pointe shoes which I really could not afford right now. It will be fun though. We had a gift exchange at class on Monday and I traded a $5 gift card to claires for a Ballerina key chain and "mike and ikes" (yuck) ![]() What else? Somehow finding things worth writeing about(or reading about) in my mundane life is harder then I thought it would be. A friend from Dance is going to "The Phantom of the Opera" in Omaha and I am wallowing in Jealousy. I have almost all my shopping(or sewing) done. Tell me what everyone is Hoping for Christmas! |

I just returned from the kids Christmas play. Which made me think of back when I was in them. This one was a lot smaller, The church we used to go to was bigger and we had a lot of teens and even adults playing the main rolls. The last one I did was called ''Christmas in Egypt'' portraying Jesus 1st birthday in Egypt. By the way I had auditioned for "Beauty in the Beast" at our community theater. Sadly I was not chosen. Not having a good voice is a little hindrence. Oh well theres always next time. |

Do I seem really boring? Its so hard to get me across, I must say I am a strange combonation of personality, its like sanely schizophrenic. (You have no idea how long it took me to spell that word) It has been so long since I went to a concert. I am not very involved in the church we are going to so their is really no way to get stuff like that set up. I am now kind of talking just for the sake of talking. There was this cute little baby with red hair and big brown eyes smiling at me from across the isle today. My youngest brother is 3 and my nephew is 2 so its been a while since I had a really little baby. *sniffs* *sobs* I am really debating going to the youth group on wednesday. Its didn't work out so good at the last church we were at. I was on the worship team and went there for almost 2 years and still could go all the services with out talking to anyone. My sisters open house is next weekend and I think we are going. Her husband pastors a church up there and I used to detassle and stay with them in the summer so I am looking forward to seeing everyone there. |

I watched my fair lady for the first time today. My Ballet this year is to "I could have danced all night". I had read the play but never seen it. I am sorry to say but I am one of those who wonder why it is a favorite. It is beautifully written and the characters are fun as is the music, But you see I am a hopeless romantic... And an ending that is anything but "happily ever after" or a "weeping tragedy" I find hard.I think the prof undeserving, and the ending leaving you wanting more. I know I am no critic but I couldn't find anything else to write about! |

Right now I am super excited! last night we were shown our costumes for recital in may! For pointe we have a red halter tu-tu with rhinestones, and we are going to dye our pointe shoes red too. ![]() for ballet its slightly less glamorous. Its dark blue with a long skirt with a bustle and a rose. I was and am a little upset at my placement this year. Last year classes were small so she combined principle with primas. but this year they grew so I got stuck in the lower class. prima's costumes are so much prettier black and white tu-tus. Oh well. I should have pics soon.Check out our site at The Dance Factory. |

Our Thanksgiving was a little different this year. Usually we go to my Grandmas here in town, but I guess she got tired of doing the cooking, cleaning, dishes, and doing the hosting duty of the matriarch of our family, so my Mom volunteered it here. So guess who was doing a lot the cooking and cleaning? My third sister Sami announced her engagement to a guy we've only known 2 weeks and she only 2 months. Hmmmm... ![]() My oldest sister and her family were not able to join us. She stayed in her little town and celebrated with her husbands parents. Today I was so happy to be able to do something with my friends. Between school, Chores, and kids, social times do not come often. |

Its a common fact almost everyone loves to talk about themselves. Some are just a bit smarter and talk about their opinion on common things which disguises it a bit. Well I am assuming people are coming to my site to hear about me which gives me leave to talk as much as I want. ![]() In case you haven't figured it out yet I Love Pride and Prejudice. I was a little scared about the new one since the bbc was so good, but its growing on me. Jane Austin was a genius and if you haven't read anything by her do so now. I also LOVE "phantom of the opera" and could listen to the soundtrack all day. (which I sometimes do) I like classical music as well as some of the new stuff and Josh Groban is a favorite. And I am addicted to Shakespeare and Stevenson. |

I guess everything has to start somewhere so here I go. Well, my newest discovery is I know how to play the flute. You know everyone tells you if you want to learn any instrument you should learn piano first. well it works. I just bought my flute and now I can play almost anything in simple keys. So start with piano! |
