So ... what is This Open Road?  First off, I have to admit that I took the phrase from Bon Jovi's song, Lost Highway.  Yes, I'm a teen of the 80's and still a die hard Bon Jovi fan.  But, back to the question ... This Open Road is our new family blog.  It's highly unlikely that hubby will post anything here as he abhors computers and Lion Cub is too young to use the computer.  So for the time being, it will be just Tiger Cub and me doing the talking. 

We're a coastal Florida family finishing up our 6th year of homeschooling.  Tiger Cub has been homeschooled from the start and Lion Cub will join in soon with preschool activities.  Our blog name also has a special meaning to me because I believe that all homeschoolers are venturing down open roads.  We each have to find and take the path that's right for us.  From time to time we'll all have speed bumps, traffic jams, road blocks, rest stops, cruise control, fast paced freeways, and slow dirt roads, but the journey is an unforgettable adventure.
