Take me out to the ballgame

Posted in Our Furbabies

A couple of days ago my little brother had his Washington Nationals hat that the team gave us (my dad did work for them - we are really Atlanta Braves fans but we can root for the Nationals too) and he put it on the dog's head.  I showed my mom and she thought it was funny so she took some pictures.

There's his nose peeking out from under the hat.

In this one it looks like he's saying "Get this hat off me lady and quit taking pictures."

Bath time for kitty

Posted in Our Furbabies

Mom is sick so I'm posting today.  She has a sore throat and can't talk very well.  We had a cold front move through Florida and it is colder than normal here for this time of year.  It started cooling down on Sunday so she probably got sick while working outside.  I hope she feels better soon.

I have an outside cat and we got some pictures of him the other day giving himself a bath.

Doesn't he look funny?  He's a cool cat.  I'll pick him up in a special way that I sometimes do it and he'll look at me and just start rubbing all over me with his face.

Fun in the sun and a tooting dog

Posted in Our Furbabies

Last Sunday mom planted some sunflower seeds in the yard.  We have a long hose for watering and it has a sprayer that we attach onto the end.  Mom was watering in the seeds and I had taken off my glasses.  Mom was spraying the ground and then all of a sudden she started spraying me.  After she was finished watering in the seeds (and spraying me too) I pretended to be a moving dart board and she had to try to spray me with the water.  I was running around her in a circle and the water was in my face the whole time.  When we stopped all my clothes were soaked.  My shoes are still wet.  We have them sitting out on the back porch trying to get them to dry.

We went to the beach that morning too.  There were Portuguese Man-o-War all over the beach.  You can see what one looks like here.  We didn't have the camera with us because mom was gathering seaweed for the garden.  They are very pretty, but you should NOT touch them.

One of our dogs died last month and we have one left now.  He is inside the house now because he was lonely.  My brother and I get wild so I guess we get his stomach a little upset and he starts tooting.  It's really stinky.  He sleeps on my bed at night.  So far he hasn't stunk me out of the room.  It's actually kind of funny in a way.
