Small Thoughts of Mine

Hello, bloggers! Today, Andie harvested, -*news flash!* Bunny wants to say something: "What do you have? What is it? Not a sheep? I like your block. Dadadada da da da...." - Anyhow, (Bunny's helping me post,) Andie has just harvested a carrot or two, and some romaine lettuce. Since this was the first of the harvest, (other than a tomato, and some garlic,) it's pretty small, ( we have to pick some things early, because of the move,) and so, Andie took it inside, to wash it off, and then eat it in a salad. It was a very small salad, but it tasted good. ~Sincerely, Sarah~ |

Wow, it's been a while since I last posted! We've been a little busy, lately, with the move and all... Oh yes! I never posted about that! Oops! Well, we're moving in about a week or so, and we've been getting some things ready for it. Daddy's new job is going to move us, so we don't have much to move ourselves. But we still have to get the house ready, and cleaned, and we still aren't sure how we're gonna move the garden (It's in big containers), so we might have drop them off at a friend's house, so they can watch over it untill we can figure out a way to move it, without killing it. ~Sarah |

Hello! (Sorry it's been so long since I posted!) It's nice to be home, after a fun, long, Father's Day weekend visit. We've enjoyed ourselves a lot this past weekend. We left for Oma And Opa's house Friday evening, then stopped for dinner. Once we got on our way, after a while, we lost our way. It ended up taking a good bit longer, but we enjoyed playing car games. It was about 10:30 by the time we were there, and we were pretty tired by the time we arrived. The next day, we ate breakfast, visited, watched cartoons, visited some more, etc. After a while, Daddy went on a short errand, and came back with some fishing poles, and we all went fishing. I don't think we ever caught anything, but we enjoyed ourselves. Signing off, ~SARAH~ |

Hello readers! Ahhh... it's good to be home. We got home on Monday, around 4:30. We all really enjoyed seeing our great grandparents, having Bear's birthday, going to the Beach, and going to Peach Park, but it's nice to be home, after a while. We had intended to come home on Sunday, but oddly enough, we couldn't find the Beach! And we were in Florida! LOL! Anyway, we ended up finding the beach a lot later than we would have liked. So, that left us a day behind, and so, we went ahead and bunked down for the night at Holiday Inn. God really blessed us through that! It was very nice and comfortable, and big! Which is good, becouse we take up a lot of room! It was a very fun visit. ~Sincerely, Sarah~ |

Hello! Today, I will be posting a Bible verse, and a recipe. Here they are! (The Bible verse is one we have been studying in church.) "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness." Philipians 2:5-7 We have been listening to this verse so much, that I almost know it by heart! Okay! Now here's the recipe. ~Choc-Oat-Chip Cookies~ 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt (optional) 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened 1/2 cups granulated sugar 2 large eggs 2 Tbsp. milk 2 tsp. vanilla extract 2 1/2 cups quick or old fashioned oats 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips 1 cup coarsely chopped nuts ( optional) Preheat oven to 375. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat brown sugar, butter, and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and nuts; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes for chewy cookies, or 12 to 13 minutes for crispy cookies. Cool on baking sheet for 1 minute, remove to wire racks to cool completely. Enjoy! Makes about 4 dozen cookies. These cookies are extremly good. If you make these cookies, you will need milk! We found the recipe on a bag of chocolate chips! I hope like them! Bye! ~Sarah~ |

Bye!
We ate dinner with Papaw, at Cracker Barrel, (As always). It was a fun day. After that, we went to the hotel, and registered. The next day, we had breakfast with Papaw, and went his house to visit a little more. We went to the hotel, and signed out. We celebrated with Papaw, then with Oma, Great Grandmama, and of course, Opa and Daddy. It was a fun visit.
