ANTS!
Well, I have started my first week of "school" with my 3 year old.
I know that sounds silly to some and others are thinking, "What took you so long"?
Well, I was encouraged by many different things. One, I have a friend who LOVES Lap booking, she heads up Homeschool Share.
She is wonderful, and I love her ideas and fresh ways of displaying information in folders. second, my mom gave me this book, "The Bible Alphabet of Animals" by Rod and Staff. It's great! It has all these different animals in it with a Bible verse too. It just lit a fire in my mind. 
Here are a few pictures of our latest project, to help Squirrely-Jo touch, see and identify the body parts of an ant. :)
It's body is made up of 3 red balloons, tied together. The antenna are made from a red rubber band cut in half and taped on, the same with the mandibles. (Just a thicker rubber band) Eyes are maker and the legs construction paper.
 (She's making it wave to the camera.)
We got out some blankets, pillows, and couch cushions and made tunnels for the ants to go through.
 Since the body is made of all soft things, I wasn't worried about her crawling around with it and popping it.
It's fun to study things together and make things together and learn together.
Praise the Lord for Home Schooling!
