Squirrely-Jo came to me after lunch and said, "I need things for the re-table." I was completely lost until she started telling me what she needed these things for and who she was using them with. She needed a sword and helmet for the battle. She has been watching Prince Caspian and wanted to help defend Narnia. I love that little girl. (it's great what you can do with cardboard, duct tape and an old water jug.)
It's also a good reminder for us, that we shouldn't rush into the day (battle) without our armor on.
Ephesians 6:15
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around you waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with you feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
Sometimes I rush into the day without all my armor. The darts of the devil are sharp and they hurt. My day goes SO much better when I stop and put on all my "armor" at the beginning of the day.
