These verses have meant a lot to me. What beautiful things the Lord tells us through his Word.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. Isaiah 61:10-11

I have much to be joyful about. If I had nothing else in life just the fact that He redeemed me should be enough to cause the stream of gladness in my heart to bubble right along. But instead I allow my joy to be choked up by my perfectionism, my impatience, my fretting about little things, impossible goals I have set for myself as well as those around me, expectations that I feel have not been met.

My soul cries out to you O God. Clean out all this ‘rubbish’.  I depend upon you.   May the clear crystal waters of God’s spirit flow in me. Let righteousness and praise spring forth in my life.

Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness. Psalm 107:8-9
