Another school year is drawing to a close.  Of course since we school year round the only way I notice this is because things start ending.  This month band ended and so we had concerts.  Our band is so big and grand that we have to divide the concert into two nights because otherwise we would have kids performing for five straight hours.  Thursday night Elizabeth performed with her guitar glass and Rebecca with her percussion ensemble.  It was most excellent, especially since one of our really good friend who plays violin in the orchestra was awarded a scholarship for next year.  Way to go Joshua!

Being the totally awesome photographer that I have frequently bragged about being, of course I totally missed Elizabeth's class.  She did an awesome job on her solo, however.

The next night Rebecca performed in the Intermediate Band on her trumpet and then with the Advanced Band on the marimba.  This concert went nearly three hours, but nobody really left early because the Advanced Jazz Band plays last and all of the kids love and many aspire to be a part of this group.  They are really awesome!

The best part of this year's concerts was that my mom and dad were able to see the kids perform.  They make it extra special when they can attend!
