A long time ago Lone Star Mama asked me about how we moved out to the country. I thought that I had posted that story on here, but I guess I didnt so here goes
Once upon a time there was a nice homeschool family with 3 boys. They lived in a nice home in the historic district. They were very convenient to everything, had a really large home and plenty of room for entertaining, but a small backyard. They had some very nice neighbors, but they also had some crabby ones that fussed at their children if they so much as even walked through their yard.
The obedient children stayed off of the neighbors grass, but the parents began to wonder if they were living in the right neighborhood. It was very obvious that people valued their yards more than children. The parents understood others wanting to have a nice yard, but began to wonder if it was just finally time to move out to the country so that the boys would have room to run and people might value hard working, energetic boys.
The parents definitely felt like God was leading them out to the country, but they didnt know how they were going to be able to sell their house and afford a place in the country. Houses in the historic district typically took 2 years to sell and their house needed a little ummmm freshening up in order to be put on the market. At the same time though, God placed two nursery workers on the church schedule with the parents, who had just gotten their real estate licenses, who really, really wanted to sell some houses. With their encouragement, the parents did a little freshening up on the home and put it on the market because that would give them plenty of time to look around and think about what they really wanted.
However when God told the parents that it was time to move, He really meant like now. The house sold within 2 weeks at above the asking price. So now the parents and children were very excited, but didnt know where they were going to live.
To be continued
