To their surprise, the gentleman was only asking $10,000 more than they had planned to pay for the other home. (Remember with only 5 acres?) The family was very tempted to just say Yes and get packing. The gentleman had said that they would be able to go ahead and move in as soon as they wanted. But the family didnt really think they could afford that extra $10,000. They gently told the gentleman that they could only afford to pay the lower price. He began to tell them that it would only make their payment an extra hundred dollars a month, but the family humbly admitted that in order for the mom to stay home and homeschool the children that they could not stretch their income that far. The family was ready to load up in the car and go home.
Then the gentleman said, OK, thats good enough. He commented about how well behaved their boys were and that he came from a large family of brothers and thought all little boys should grow up out in the country. He said that hed never seen a family more perfectly suited to a property as that farm was to the happy homeschooling family. The family could hardly believe what they were hearing. The gentleman was selling them that farm at the same price that they had almost purchased a home with only 5 acres. The family then understood why God had allowed that other purchase to fail. He had something better for them.
After they had a signed contract, the gentleman allowed the family to go ahead and work on the house even before they could get it closed being as how the family had to move that week. So the happy homeschooling family happily moved out to the 44 acre farm with the creek, woods, fields and barns for their very happy boys to enjoy. The family knew that God definitely had a plan for their family out on the new farm. They didnt know exactly what the plan was, but they had truly seen Gods hand in it all. They knew that it was going to be wonderful. And they lived on their farm that God provided happily ever after.
