• Dec. 21, 2006 - Marriage & Home Depot
OK, I am totally procrastinating at this point.... maybe instead of Paralyzed by Perfectionism I should have written Playing while Procrastinating... aren't things a lot more fun then?
Anywho... in my last entry I sent you to a couple of funnies - one of them being Everyday Mommy Who has a great saying at the top of her blog -
I was catching up on her blog when I found her Everyday Snort entry.
Which led me to Antique Mommy's Premarital Counseling Now Available at Home Depot. Which ab-so-lute-ly cracked me up. Not because my husband is like that. He isn't. I kind of am. But my friends - some of their husbands TOTALLY are. And while I happen to admire a bit of that systematic approach, you just have to laugh.
Just the other day, Tony and the boys were working on this great patio for me. And I decided to toss my opinion out there which wasn't necessarily a good thing since they were the ones doing all the work! I took their simple plan and made it complicated. And frustrated them. And then realizing what I'd just done, retreated back into the house to let them continue on. ...
What a saint that man is to put up with my nonsense. The home improvement projects can test the best marriages. Maybe that is a good idea to send everyone to Home Depot for a premarital test. |

• Dec. 23, 2006 - Saint?
From what I've read about him he seems like a wonderful, loving man with a great sense of humor. You are truly a blessed woman to have such a man in your life. If I were married to such a man I would feel compelled to cook all his meals, bring them to him in his favorite chair, and give him all of the back rubs he asked for, you know since he is a saint and all....but thats just me.
I bet he also keeps you laughing all the time and you thank God every day that you chose him above all others.
You are truly one lucky lady to have such a great husband.
I'm sure he thinks you are pretty neat too.
Merry Christmas and GO VOLS!
Love Mrs. Anonymous
