That's the year I decided to try and decorate the boys' cakes myself.
The frosting was supposed to be RED.

I decided not to try mixing colors and just go simple with Jake's.

I did manage to get an orange UT on Joe's cake at least.
Bless the boys' hearts, they love me anyway.

This was our kitchen at our old house. It was pretty much the hangout there.
We went through some really tough times living in that house.
Job changes, friends moving,  family struggles, losing my dad.
But looking back at the pictures, I still think  what a precious time in our lives that was.
Waterguns, fresh flowers from the side of the house, and handpainted flower pots.
My kids are growing up.
