Another fun thing I found in Kris's blog was a little getting to know you info -
Here are some things you may not know about me:
I am not scared of storms. I see God's power and control.
I love to scrapbook but am having the hardest time keeping up with where I've saved my digital pictures so I can print them.
I wake up easily, but it takes me awhile to get going.
I could sleep until 11:00...and this would seem really late! (I have insomnia so alot of times I'm up late.)
I am a recovering perfectionist.
I'm finicky about food. Some of the foods I really dislike are brocolli, turnip greens, chicken parmesan and heavy fried foods.
I love looking at horses and horse farms.
I love to sing with others, especially praise and worship.
I could talk about homeschooling and family with others all day long.
I was an early learner. Mom says I started reading at 3. They were going to start me in Kindergarten at 4 1/2 and the school had me skip K and go straight to first grade at 4 1/2. I took college classes as a rising senior and was a Sophmore in college at 18.
I taught public school for 5 years in 3 very different school districts and areas.
I married when I was just 19 and we had our first child when I was 21.
Everything I said I'd NEVER do....I did a few, mostly I didn't.
I never buy expensive purses or shoes. I try to find those kinds of things on sale.
I am not a 'clean freak' and I need a cleaning lady!
I love to buy scented candles, healthy products and homemade items.
I regularly read labels before I buy a product.
I sleep on the right side of the bed.
I must watch TV or read in order to fall asleep.
I don't like to exercise unless I am with a talkative friend that doesn't mind slowing down for me.
I would rather live on the beach than in the mountains.
I could drink Sonic Lemon Berry Slushes all day long.
I am addicted to pasta.
I am 5 feet 2 inches tall.
I didn't grow up in church, but was saved in a Baptist church at13 and always went to Baptist churches until we started home church.
I was born in 1970 and graduated in 1988.
I go in spurts. Sometimes I get fanatical about finishing what I start, but other times I have to relax so that I'm not driving my gang nuts.
How about you? |
• Jul. 6, 2005 - Getting to know you!
I shared your letter with my husband and another home church dad while camping this last weekend....it was very edifying to me, and I will share more with you later on that subject.
