Although I can remember these really passionate times of Bible study before kids when I could just literally spend hours digging into God's Word and searching out really deep topics, you know what?
It's now that I've had kids that so much more of it makes sense.
Being a parent helps me understand how God can love us more than we can ever understand because sometimes I just wonder if our kids know - REALLY know, just how much we love them.
As a parent, I understand so much more clearly how things we don't always like, truly are for our own good.
As a parent, I understand more about rebellion, grace, and forgiveness.
Having been blessed with these three boys, I even think I understand more about what a miracle is and how God has plans for us that we could never even dream of.
I know more about praying for wisdom and strength, not just because I want to know or to be able to do something, but because I feel so humbled that God has entrusted these children to Tony and I "for such a time as this".
And through all of the busyness of life, I've learned more than ever to just trust Him and His grace. He always meets me right where I am and He knows how a momma worships.
All of these are so true. Having children teaches us so much about God and His fatherhood. And, each stage of their lives seems to bring deeper searching and dependence on Him.
Thanks for sharing how the video spoke to you.

Hi - I'm having a contest on my blog and I'd love people to join in on the fun - it runs until May 29th when I will announce the winner! - Check it out! - http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/FHCJourney/
I know just what you mean. It is also so very humbling to know that while I can give my children an education, teach them manners, feed them, clothe them, and love them, I can't save them. All I can do is show them how marvelous God is and how His love is far greater than mine. How Jesus is the one they should look up to, not me.
