Lessons Learned on the Farm

I enjoy putting together a jigsaw puzzle.
Especially one that has lots of smaller things within the larger picture so that it's easier to match up words, lines, colors, etc...

This one definitely fits the bill.

Did you just start humming You Ain't Nothin But a Hounddog?! Go ahead and admit it. Oh you weren't? Well you probably are now.

However I just ran into ONE little problem with the puzzle. I mean I conquered putting together all different pictures of Elvis' face. Some black and white, some color, some big, some small.

But then I just ran into this one teeny, tiny, eeensy weeensy, little problem . . .

ONE. MISSING. PIECE.

We looked all over the table. We looked under the table, in the box, on the floor, in the chairs, on and on and on. And I'm just thinking that I, my friends, am not just one french fry short of a happy meal or a few bricks shy of a load, apparently I actually am one piece shy of a thousand piece puzzle.

Poor Elvis.

Nancy,
That same thing happened to my compulsive husband. I won't even allow jigsaw puzzles in our home because he is so compulsive that he can get nothing done until he has finished the puzzle. A friend came to visit and thought it would be fun to bring a puzzle for everybody to work on together. When she left the puzzle was still not completed and my husband sat around several more evenings until he finished it. Well, all except that one piece!!
grace and peace,
julie

All that shaking around must have worked up a sweat, which ate the armpit right out of that jacket!

You've taken the whole thing apart and put it away on the top shelf of the closet. ;-)

Hope y'all have a wonderful and safe Independence Day weekend.
Hugs,

Was it under the actual puzzle? Ya know I did that once and could not find the puzzle piece! It was under the puzzle! I was so mad! I tore half of it up trying to find it! Now I use the puzzle glue so I can move my puzzle in one piece!!!

You mean I went to the trouble of placing 5 pieces and the puzzle had the audacity to be missing 1. You know I don't like puzzles, well, now I don't like them even more. Bad puzzle, bad bad puzzle.

Isn't that so frustrating? I don't sit to do puzzles too much, but Daniella loves them, and the others do them occasionally. The cat lost 2 pieces to the last one when he jumped on the card table. The dog probably ate them. My older girls really enjoyed puzzles of the presidents, one of the first ladies, and one of old t.v. shows. They all have the small pictures like you talked about.
