Lessons Learned On the Farm

• Feb. 5, 2006 - Fun Weekend

Friday was kind of nice because I got to bed early.  I'm a real party animal, huh? The truth of the matter though is that is a really big deal around here.  I'm a bit of a night owl, so for me to go to bed at a decent hour is quite the occasion.  I was totally exhausted.  We don't have tv reception so we rent movies through Netflix.  I had rented the first season of Extreme Home Makeover and realized that I was totally overtired when I was crying at the end or each episode.  Geesh.

So then Saturday we just kind of hung out around the house a bit and then Tony went to deliver pizzas, Joe went to work at the Gun Club, and Jake, Jon & I went to see a local children's play with some friends.  It was The Jungle Book and was put on by the Missoula Children's Theatre.  I love getting to see all of our homeschool stars up there on the stage!

After that we drove through Sonic for my favorite Lemonberry slush and Candace's new favorite - strawberry banana smoothie.  Then we let the boys play for awhile while we caught up on some chit chat.  It's so nice to have friends to just share life with, ya know?  Tony even got in on the fun when he stopped by after work to join in on a couple of games of Clue.  We must publicly announce that Joel is the game master.

So today we are getting together with some friends for Super Bowl fun.  The boys are getting together to watch the game and then the girls are going to another house to have our own Soaper Bowl party.  We've got our soap making supplies and are ready for action!  I'll let you know how it turns out.  Feel free to leave your soap making tips here!!!

You're NOT watching the Steelers play. Here in western PA you would be run out of town for that! Have fun soapmaking - actually sounds much more interesting to me too, but a gal has to do what a gal has to do...so I'll be watching the game.

Soaper Bowl-- that is too cute! And yes, it is wonderful to have friends that are like minded and where the whole family gets along famously.

Have fun!

Love,
Marsha

LOL! I always cry at EMO. My kids always know just when to look over at me and say, "There she goes again." I love it that they are doing for others and helping those who are in need.
Happy Day!
