Well in my bio, I say that I'm going to talk about country living, homeschool, health, and the God who takes care of it all, but I haven't really touched that much on the health part. If you don't know me well, you might not know that I am a bit of a naturalist. My father was a chiropractor, I grew up without any vaccinations, prescriptions, over-the-counter meds, or even visits to a medical doctor. It all worked well for me.
As I've gotten older though, I've run into some problems- mainly fibromyalgia (pain & exhaustion). I'm not crazy about that diagnosis because it just tells what your symptoms are, not what the root problem is NOR what would heal it. However on the positive side, along the way I've read a lot of books about different issues as I've tried to makes sense of all of it myself. One of my issues seems to be that my hormones are out of balance. One of the books that I read was by Suzanne Sommers,
. In the book, she talks about some issues she had with breast cancer and other troubling problems and how Dr. Schwarzbein taught her about natural hormone balance and how it could affect your health.
Well it's hard to find a local doctor as helpful as Dr. Schwarzein, but I have read a lot and truly think many woman could benefit from the natural hormone replacement - like Arbonne's progesterone cream. Dr. Schwarzbein reccommends having the bio-identical hormones mixed at a compounding pharmacy so they are specially tailored for your needs. And now the pharmaceutical companies are trying to put a stop to it. Read the letter below, file your comments with the FDA, and pass along this information to others!
Hello,
I am sending you an announcement regarding bio-identical hormones and the right to choose compounded prescriptions. Please take a moment to visit the Women's International pharmacy website listed below and let your voices to be heard on this very important issue.
As you probably know my 5 Step program advocates the use of these hormones to help balance out the system and restore metabolism. If these are taken away, it will be impossible to help millions of women who are suffering. Thank you in advance for working with me on this issue.
I greatly appreciate your time and attention to this very urgent issue.
Dr. Schwarzbein
THE FACTS: Recently, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, makers of Premarinฎ and Premproฎ, filed a Citizen's Petition with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) asking the FDA to impose harmful restrictions on the compounding and dispensing of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). This petition would eliminate the availability of compounded bio-identical hormones, which are prescribed by healthcare providers and prepared by pharmacists, to meet the unique needs of each individual patient.
THE FUTURE: Wyeth's petition asks for strategic restrictions that, if granted, would put an end to all pharmacy compounding. These restrictions would severely restrict or limit the ability of healthcare providers to treat all of their patients, not just men and women on BHRT. With your help, Wyeth can and must be defeated in its attempt to restrict your right to choose "compounded" medications!
WHAT CAN YOU DO? Time is of the essence! We need 20,000 comments filed with the FDA by April 4, 2006! It is also extremely important that you file your comments with your U.S.Congressional elected officials. Please note that your comments should be in written form sharing your personal experience with bio-identical hormones stating the positive impact it has had on you and your quality of life.
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY COMMENTS? Please visit www.womensinternational.com. Women's International Pharmacy working in conjunction with the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP), will link you to the site that is dedicated to protecting BHRT.
We, at Women's International Pharmacy, thank you for working together with us to fight for freedom and your right, to continue taking bio-identical hormone therapies essential to your health, quality of life!
Please forward this information to any family or friends who would support this effort.
