Mar. 4, 2007 - Sunday Morning Blues and sore throats

On Sunday morning I usually am at church at 8am rehersing with the worship team at my church......however last night Bekah was not feeling well at all and then woke up with a very barky couph......I feel so bad that she is not feeling well ...her throat hurts so bad I have done all I can do for her . I wish I could just take it away. Any one have any idea's for sore throats ? I have done tea , soup , Ice pops, Motrin, snuggles......tell me is there anything else?

Mar. 3, 2007 - ,Doctors , burger king , library and big, big smile

My 8yr old daughter has been sick for 3 days with a fever and a very sore throat.......So this morning I brought her to the docs  they tested her fro strep and.......praise God she does not have strep.........just very large and very sore throat she seemed to ber very happy ......we then went to BK's and got french toast strips ( this is a treat)...they tasted sooooooo good she said.........we then went to the library and Mom ( me ) did the homeschool thing and got all my books fro next week .....she got to play magic school house on the computer and had a lot of fun.

Now this my not sound great to some  but she is #3 in my house and she just needed to have mom time. It just goes to show you that it doesn't take much to make her smile. She is such a blessings. I love you Bekah!!!

Mar. 2, 2007 - Study on Butterfly's need help

I have lloked and looked all over on line and have not yet found a good prinatable outline of a butterfly anatomy .........would any one have one. or have any ideas?

we just read a a section in on the shores of plum creek  and it talk about butterflies so i thought I could do a project.

Mar. 2, 2007 - Ice

I woke this morning to a beautiful site....ice all over the trees .....it looks like a crystal forest.

My 8 and 6 year old are on the floor pretending that they are digging a well....I think it came from the little house book .......when pa diggs a well........I love homeschooling

Mar. 1, 2007 - Today was good day

Blogging is somthing that I don't do much of , but I try to bring my thought together.

We had school today even though throuts are hurting and noses are running, we got it all done.

I am fighting off something myself I feel flu like.....kida ache.....but over all it has been a good day.

Feb. 27, 2007 - Ear infection and headaches

Today we started school at around 8am  and out of the blue chris says .......MY EAR HURTS........but i would have never known her was running around like nothing was wrong.....well he does have a ear infection.........and meds are in his body.........he is such a good kid.

Feb. 23, 2007 - It's snowing

It's snowing  out here in NY, we have about 4 inches of fresh snow... the snow is so beautiful....... we ( the kids) were suppose to have co-op today but I had to cancel it because of slippery roads......So I am home with my 8 and 6 yr old ......and  my 15 year old had a sleep over ............so I have 6 more girls in my house........This will be a very eventful day I am sure........the girls werup till 2am talking, doing hair, and eating chocolate.........what a great memory they will have......well I need more coffee.......talk soon

Feb. 21, 2007 - Pioners of old

I was thinking about how homeschooling was just like the days of old......when the pioneers were setting out fro a new life..they put the sweat and tears into everything.....so that they could have a better life.

We who have been homeschooling for a bit ( that means me) have no Idea what all of you pioneers have done for us.....you dug up the ground and laid down the foundation so that we could have our freedoms to teach our children at home.

Thank you all for doing that for me and everyone who is and will be teaching there children.

Feb. 20, 2007 - This who I am

I have been homeschooling my children for hmmmmm......about 5yrs now......Their ages are  17, 15, 8 and 6yrs old......I love having them home I could not ask for a better way of life for them .

IN the past year my husband and I have been asked to be leaders to our churches homeschool group . It has about 25 famlies in it. We meet once a month for felllowship and encouragement. talk about feild trips and what we would like to do this moth or even next year....There have been some changes that are happening in the homeschool feild .....Families are homeschooling there kids and are looking for programs that will fill there days .... so they don't have to teach a subject or so they can visit while the rest is teaching............now I am not complaining...I just want to know if this is the case for other homeschool groups......and what do you do , or how do you get other families to participate?

We love homeschooling and I love helping others with there homeschooling ..it is my heart to encourage others....I hope to get to know all of you in time .....and to have a new line of friends..
