Prayer for our husbands
|
Dear Friends,
I have never sent out a letter that I wanted to be forwarded before. But I felt this heavy burden while I was praying and I believe I am supposed to write this letter with the hope that if you find it worthy that you will forward this letter and we will see what our Heavenly Father will do.
Our country is in a shambles. Morally speaking things seem up side down, inside out, and backwards. All we have to do is watch the evening news to confirm this! Ladies if we want this to change (and change it must!), change must first be in our families. And above our families, change must first be in our men and boys. I know so many women who are married to Godly men (men who know the Savior and trust in Him) yet their marriages have major problems. Often times men do not know how to lead in a Godly manner, some men are passively letting their family go down the tubes, pornography as taken some, while alcohol and drugs have others, there is gambling, and affairs, and many other things that are stealing our families! If you are not affected by these things I would bet you have a friend or friends that are. I know in my marriage we have struggled for 20 years with some issues. And I fought it the wrong way. I fought my husband! We fight not against flesh and blood but principalities and airs of the darkness! For 20 years I fought my husband not the things that were attacking him! When I started praying and fighting the true enemy BOY did I see results! My husband has done a 180!
This is the reason for my letter. I believe we are to form an army of sorts. We are called to be our husbands help mates/ helpers yet while my husband was being attacked I went over and attacked him more. (a lot of good that did!) I was not a good helper! Our men are being attacked by the enemy! Satan knows that if he can "get" our men then he has the family! So women I am asking, no pleading that you will join me in praying for our husbands and sons. Get down on your knees, go to your prayer closet, get under your prayer shawl, go where ever you go to do business with your Heavenly Father and pray like you have never prayed before! Pray with out ceasing! Come against those spirits that are attacking your husband. (the spirit of pornography, alcoholism, adultery, passiveness ect.) It is time that we get to business and NOT let the busyness of life change our mission!
I pray that this letter touches your hearts and moves you to action. If we all pray together the enemy will not have a chance!
If you feel this letter has any merit please pass this on to all your friends if not just trash it. I pray that God would use this letter to do great things in our nation and in our families!
Blessings and Shalom to your families,
Cathy

Changing times
All one has to do is watch or listen to the news on occation to know that the world is changing very quickly. Almost daily there is something noteworthy happening. I personally believe that the "birthpains" of this world are getting closer and closer. Even non-believers are seeing the need to put in large gardens and keep non=perishable food and water on hand. The writing seems to be on the wall that our Messiah's return is near! Amen! I can't wait.
My purpose is not to start a theological debate but to put down some thoughts about home education in light of the times we live in. First let me say I believe reading, writing and math are very important and should not be ignored! But in light to the time we are in I believe that my children need Bible more that anything. They need to know the word! (Not that we have not been training in this area there whole life) They need to know that they know where they stand! Now is the time to raise up our children to be the warriors that the Father has called them to be! Even our little ones! Now is the time, if you have putting it off, to start that verse by verse memorization! Psalm 91 is an excelent place to start.
Wishing you all happy bible studies! |

Replanting
| So we have a new day after a bad day, what do I do? I start over. That is the wonder of our Heavenly Father! Everyday is new! Everyday a fresh canvas to paint on! I just hope that today is better than yesterday! No matter who we are we all have bad days. Even people who look perfect on the outside have bad days they just hide it better than us "real" people! So why did I title this "Replanting"? Because yesterday we discovered that after a bad cold snap that our garden is in shambles. We could either give up or pull ourselves together and replant. Giving up is not an option! Oh, we might give up for a day but the sun comes up the next day and we choose to live not die! We choose to REPLANT! |

looking at the garden after a very cold snap
| Oh, My! It did not fair well! So sad, all that hard work and nothing! Well, except the onions. We WILL have onions! oh, well we will have to start over again. I know there is a life lesson here. I don't know that I want to see it though. It was a hard day without seeing a sad garden. I guess after a hard day we go to sleep and then wake up and pull ourselves up by our boot straps. We can always replant. |

Planting a garden
Planting the Garden
Well, we have done it! It might not be a big thing for most but for me it is HUGE!! We planted everything we could plant today. I really haven't gardened much and the little that I did do was dismal at best. We had some wonderful friends come over from Alabama (Jochanan & Lisa) (Thank you guys!!) on Sunday (1st day) and help us by roto tilling (I don't think that is spelled right but oh well) and forming raised beds. They were a huge BLESSING! Anyway I think this is going to be a great garden. I am so looking forward to working in it all summer long and then getting a fall garden going! We planted peas, snow peas, cabbage (both red and green), broccolli, cauliflower, spinach, kale, all kinds of lettuces, potatoes, carrots, beets, radishes, and some peppers from seed. Oh, I am so excited. Just wanted to share! Blessings to you all! Oh, by the way all the children helped and had a great time! Hope to put some pictures on |

The meaning of shalom
|
THE MEANING OF SHALOM
The Hebrew word SHALOM is understood around the world to mean peace. But peace is only one small part of the meaning of the word SHALOM.
Strong's Concordance 7965 - Hebrew Shalom ..... A word study in the New King James version for SHALOM says: Completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord.
Shalom comes from the root verb Shalom meaning to be complete, perfect and full. In modern Hebrew the obviously related word Shelem means to pay for, and Shulam means to be fully paid; nothing missing, nothing broken.
Sar SHALOM (Prince of Peace) is one of the descriptive names the Bible uses to indicate the ministry and personality of the Messiah: Isaiah 9:6 - The Son of God is completely perfect in all things. And, thus so, the fullness of Shalom may be found ONLY IN HIM. There is no true and lasting Shalom when our path is not one in which Yeshua is not our Adonai—Lord & Master. It IS the will of the Father that we abide in His Shalom but we hold the deciding ‘vote.’
An art instructor with 2 prize students commissioned each to draw a portrait of their vision of peace. The first drew an idyllic scene where the lion and lamb rested ever so blissfully side by side. The second positioned a singing bird on the branch of a limb, next to her nest, outstretched into a cascading waterfall.
Too often we assume that restfulness is the full essence of peace. In the lack of confrontation even we all may find rest but it is in the storm that we abide in His Peace. The storms of life are but the seeds of the coming of the rainbow. IN the MIDST of the storm when all seems lost, when we can claim with holy confidence in our Father that all is well, now there is Shalom.
So in essence, when you speak out the word SHALOM - you are not only proclaiming peace, but all the above meanings of the word over that person - that's a mighty blessing!!!
Remember what the word of God says - "there is life or death in the power of the tongue". Prov 18:21--Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Numbers 6:24-26: The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His face upon you and give you SHALOM. In the name of SAR SHALOM - the Prince |

A time to pray!
March 28
Time to pray!
I am writing this because I think it is high time for believers to stand up and pray. I don't mean the "Now I lay me down to sleep" prayers. I am talking about REAL prayers. The kind that do damage to the enemy! Not just a black eye but routing the enemy out of our family. Satan has run over my family for too long! I have had enough!! I am going to stand up and fight with everything I have for my family and friends! I am not going to take things lying down! I am going to put on the whole armor of the Father and go to battle!! We need to be a people of power and the only way we are going to get that power is by praying! And praying hard and long and not giving in until we have seen the victory!! We give up far too easily in America! We have the fast food mentality, we want it quick! We don't want to work for it. Well, I am here to say that this Mamma is rolling up her sleeves and goning in for the long haul! No more namby pamby prayers here! It is time for prayers with power! It is time for fasting and prayer. I will fast for as long as it takes. I am pressing in and pressing on!
The other thing I am going to do is watch what is coming out of my mouth. There is alot of curses spoken out of our very mouths. My new saying is "If I am saying it I am praying it"! That is so true! I am not going to give the enemy any more amo to use against any of my family. I am going to try to make my mouth a mouth of blessings and life!
I am taking a stand for my family! I know it won't be easy at first. But then again nothing worth doing is easy! Would you care to join me in fighting for your family? Now is the time to do it. Tomarrow may be too late. Join with me, on my knees, to take back what the enemy has stollen. If one family at a time takes hold of this we could very well win back our towns, states, even America! All it takes is prayer |

Ramblings about me
March 21
Ramblings about me
Well, here it is. My first blog entry. What to say? What to say? I in no way claim to be profound or have all the answeres. But... I have been on quite a journey...that is called life. I have learned some things along the way. I hope to share some of my hard learned lessons. Of course the more that I have learned the more that I realize I don't know. So I will also be sharing my very real burdens and life challenges that are going on right now. I am a very real and open person. (sometimes to a fault) I look forward sharing with old friends and I look forward to meeting new ones. Have a BLESSED, Shalom filled day! |
