September 10th, 2008
Hello, everyone!! I hope lotsandlotsandlots of you do my contest, so far the only peoples who have entered are Pip and Lulu98 (thanks girls munches!!!)
Anyhow I've been TAGGED by Outlawed Princess!!! Thanks Meggy!!!!!! ^_^
What is your favorite book of the Bible? Proverbs, Psalms, Isaiah, and 1&2 Samuel
What are you most afraid of? I'm not really sure...
What makes you the maddest? When people rub in my face that they hunt and they know that I don't agree with it, when people don't understand me, when people don't take life seriously
What do you think is the worst kind of evil? All evil is evil and is BAD!! There is no such thing (in my eyes) as a "little sin" or a "little evil"....they're all the same in the LORD's eyes!!
What would be considered your theme song? Oh wow. Anybody wanna make one up for me?? lol
If you had to choose a villian to team up with, who would it be? Meggy. lol
Do you think this Tag was creepy? No, the Meggy Tagg is pretty neato, never thought of her as bein' a creap!! lol =P Now her brothers......eh, we won't go into that. -_^
I'm gonna tag... Everyone who reads this!!! LET LOOSE PEOPLES!!!! ^_^ Hahaha!!
Anyhow, moving on....
School's started up again and I've come up with the conclusion that biology should be banished from schools. I had to watch a lab (I refused to do one myself) and they killed 4 fertile chicken eggs just so people could see what they look like at different developments. DA POOR CHICK!!! *wails* Dad said I should be a vegetarian, and I would if I could (trust me, it is NOT easy when everyone around you eats meat) and then mom cut in that if I WAS a vegetarian I'd "blow away in the wind" lol
I decided today that I'd cut the grass all by my "ownself" while Keel weed-whacked and whoo hoo was that fun!! lol We just have a typical lawnmower but it was still fun-ness!! ^_^
Well I gotta go, things to do, people to hang out with, letters to write, blahblahblah, welcome to the day in the life of me.....
My love to all,
Toria
P.S. Here's some quotes I found that were really good about the Earth...
"Rather than a massive giant, it [Earth] should be thought of as a fragile Christmas tree ball which we should handle with considerable care." -William A. Anders, astronaut, Apollo 8
"The universe...is the living witness that God has indeed been at work. Understanding the nature of the creation provides a substantive basis for the faith by which we attempt to know the nature of the Creator.
"After Frank Borman had returned from his unforgettable...1968 flight around the moon in Apollo 8, he was told that a Soviet Cosmonaut recently returned from a space flight had commented that he had seen neither God nor angels on his flight. Had Borman seen God, the reporter inquired? Frank Borman replied: 'No, I did not see Him either, but I saw His evidence.'" -Dr. Wernher von Braun
"...I looked out my window and tried to find Earth.
"The little planet is so small out there in the vastness that at first I couldn't even locate it. And when I did, a tingling of awe spread over me. There it was, shining like a jewel against the black sky. I looked at it in wonderment, suddenly aware of how its uniqueness is stamped in every atom of my body.
"Suddenly I was also aware of a shift in my attitude toward Earth. I remembered what it was like down there when I walked her surface- such a splendor of diversity, such richness of color and life. And I remembered how sturdy it seemed. Beneath my feet it seemed as solid as thought it were anchored somewhere.
"Then, at that moment, in the command module there was some distraction. I looked away for a moment and, poof, Earth was gone. I couldn't find it again without searching closely.
"At that point I made my discovery. Suddenly, I knew what a tiny, fragile thing Earth is. Such a little gem, such an incredible balance of the universe's rarest ingredients, one that can be ruined all the more easily just because it is so small.
"And I determined that in that moment I would do all I could to let people know what a wonderful home we have- before it is too late.
"So I have a personal, simple message to pass on:
"There is only one Earth. It is a tiny, precious stone. let us treasure it; there is not another one." - Michael Collins, astronaut, Apollo 8
