Another once-in-a-blue-moon post.Posted at 10:27 PM on Jan. 8, 2008
Wellll, since I haven't updated this site in a LONG time, here's what's happened recently. Christmas was great, I got a couple nifty gadgets and a subscription to my favorite computer magazine. On New Year's Eve, me and my brothers and a couple friends stayed up all night playing my favorite game (Tremulous, I wrote an entry on it a while back) over a network so we were all in the same game. It was FUN!
Aaand now we're back doing good ol' (well, I dunno about the "good" part, heh) schoolwork. Physics, Bible history and reading, a few other things, and yeah...my old nemesis, Calculus. At least I switched curriculums, so this new one isn't quite as heavy on the assignments (which is good cos the other one had WAY TOO MANY FRIKKIN PROBLEMS!). I'm still learning, though!
Last but definitely not least, I'm now a regular poster over at ReliantClay.com. In case you're one of the few HSB-ers who hasn't learned this yet, Chris (he of HSB fame) started a new blog and now has guest writers as well. Me included! I post once a week (on Thursdays) about cool music and stuff. Check it out, you won't be sorry. Also this means that if you get a comment from me, it's most likely me returning the comment from RC instead of here--although I'm just overall lousy about returning comments. However, if I don't really have anything to say about your blog, I probably won't say it. It doesn't help when your blog is just about your life (which ironically is mostly what mine's about >_< ). Ah well. At least over at RC we have something (sorta) meaningful to say every time.
One last thing--if my spelling is a tad shaky on this entry, it's cos I'm not using Firefox. I'm on a different computer on which Firefox doesn't seem to work, so I'm stuck with Internet Explorer--or "Internet Exploder" as I like to call it. Hi everyone, just a quick little entry to tell you that A, I'm not sick anymore (YAY!), and B, my band has a new song out. Here's a link: Bird Sings Blues - You're Such A....

Enjoy! Being sick is "t3h suxx0rz."Posted at 8:45 PM on Dec. 2, 2007
So, I've been sick since Thursday. Which is not cool. I'm sitting here on Sunday evening, still running a temperature and sitting all wrapped up in my comforter wishing I was not sick. Fun, eh? It's a typical winter bomb--stuffy nose, fever, headache, horrible cough, stomachache, and generally feeling terrible all over. Did I mention the cough? I hate coughs. Yes, you may all send waves upon waves of pity down my way now....

Oh, before I forget, there's probably at least one person who, for some brief moment, wondered how Black Friday at My Workplace went. Well, it went quite well I must say. We set a new store record for most money brought in in a day--beat the old record ($1800) by a grand total of $800! Happiness. Wootness. Insert your favorite exclamation of joy here ness. Woo. I'm really just sitting here typing random stuff, now isn't that exciting! Oh wait, you might want to hear about a new band though.... We're called "Bird Sings Blues," and it's a friend of mine on guitar, keys, songwriting, and vocals and me on beats, synths, programming, and production. Our first song is "Hold On" and you can either listen to it here or just go to my ProjectPlaylist thingy and check it out there. You can add it to your Playlist too, if you're so moved. Just search for "Bird Sings Blues" on ProjectPlaylist and you should find it. Speaking of ProjectPlaylist, I know I've gotten a few requests from people to be able to stick some of the music from Flexstyle (mah solo name) on their playlist. I've recently uploaded a piece or two and linked ProjectPlaylist to them and now if you just search Flexstyle you should find the songs. I tested this, don't worry. Well there ya go, another post from Mwa. One of my far-and-few-between posts!Posted at 11:52 PM on Nov. 22, 2007
Hope that header is grammatically correct....ah well. Anyways. Hi everyone! *does hypercaffinated superdance*

*dies of exhaustion* Well that went well, now what was I here for anyways? Ohh yeah, right...a few things. First off, I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving day. We went to our grandparents' church and had a most excellent Thanksgiving feast prepared by several senior citizens. Added together, there were hundreds if not thousands of years of cooking experience. It was probably the tastiest Thanksgiving dinner I've ever had, honestly. After that we went over to our cousins' house and met up with the other side of the family. Ate some pie, goofed around a LOT. So all in all it was a very good day, I'd say. Now tomorrow (I'm typing this on Thursday evening, at about 10:00 or so), I get to work a 7-hour shift at my work. On "Black Friday." Apparently last year on BF we had our busiest day of the year, and now our daily average income has doubled. Which of course means our BF income will be doubled which means our workload will. be. doubled. I'm kinda apprehensive about the whole thing, but at least I don't have to work in the morning! For anyone that's out of the loop by the way, I work at a coffee shop. YAY so now you've got a short-term update of what I'll be doing. As if you cared, heh. Something you hopefully care a little bit more about, I've stuck a couple new tracks up on my ACIDplanet page, and here are links: Lost Horizon - an original, relaxing trance track. Anatomy of a Human Bomb - a remix of the band Wideband Network. It's for a contest at ACIDplanet and I hope I win ![]() Anyhowzorz, this is my once-in-a-blue-moon post fer y'allz. Leave a comment if ya want to say "hi" or whatever, I'll at least stop by your blog and say "hi" back most likely. Just to let you know I'm alivePosted at 1:23 PM on Oct. 24, 2007
Hey all, I'm finding it harder and harder to get to post. And a lot less motivated as well...

Today I feel like ranting about poor templates. You know, the ones where you have to scroll all over the screen to see all of the latest entry? And the ones where they use Comic Sans in a color that totally clashes with the rest of the blog? Which isn't hard, because all the colors they've used on the blog clash anyways. Plus, I really don't feel like hearing the little animated birdie chirp to be fed, 'cos it's interfering with the ProjectPlaylist player that's also on the page. Oh yeah, and that PP player is taking up so much space in the sidebar it's not even funny. It IS possible to edit the thing so it's a lot smaller--take a look at mine for example. When having a blog, I'd recommend going with substance over so-called style; meaning, that even if you have to go with a "boring" template, do so. At least it's clean and not a total eyesore! If you must have all the fancy-shmancy Flash widgets and stuff, I'd recommend finding someone who's got some decent HTML skills and ask them to help you out. For instance, I can help you with at least cleaning up and straightening out your current template, even if I'm still figuring out how the whole Design-A-Template thingy goes. Not that this necessarily applies to YOU, my dear reader, but hey. Just in case! And by the way, this doesn't just go for HomeschoolBlogger. This goes for a lot of websites, most MySpace pages, and a heck of a lot of other things. Rant over. Oh, for those of you who wanted to find the link for the "Rate My Blog!" thing I posted last time, you can find it here. Catch y'awlz laterz. What the...?Posted at 9:35 PM on Oct. 11, 2007
Today I took a "What's My Blog Rated?" quiz, and it turned out that this was the result:

(note, you can't click on the picture. I just linked the picture, not the code.) Huh? I mean, maybe so, but here's why they rated it as such...the word "Missionary" that appears once in a tag. The word "missionary" makes for a PG rated film (which is what this ratings system is supposedly based on)?!? Eleventyseven - Galactic Conquest (and also, Capture the Flag!)Posted at 10:46 AM on Oct. 9, 2007
Ah, sorry guys. It's already October 9th and I haven't hardly posted in October at all!

I haven't bought a CD in a few years. Most of the music I listen to comes for a free download off the internet (legally) or on radio stations or internet radio or something. Or I just listen to what my friends have to show me--in this case, Eleventyseven's new album Galactic Conquest. When I heard this one, I knew I just had to buy it. This album is, in my opinion, one of the best I've come across in a while. Its style is a cross between Hawk Nelson/Relient K and a some synth-laden pop music. Complete with energetic guitars and beats but drenched with synthesizers as well, I really love this synth-punk (hey, I invented a new genre word!) music. Of course, some of the reviews I've read don't really like this fusion but for me...yeah! You all know how much I love synthesizers, and I really like punk rock as well. This is perfect for me. You can check what's probably the best song on their album on their Shoutlife page--the song's called Love in your Arms. Oh, and for those wondering, Shoutlife is basically a Christian-run-and-moderated MySpace. It's MySpace with all the good social networking stuff and without all the cruddy pictures and stuff (the pictures are manually reviewed before being allowed to show up on the site). That song alone is enough to buy the album, honestly. The rest of the songs are pretty good too. Well now I'm going to talk about a really fun Capture the Flag night our StudentMinistries group had on Saturday night. Our church campus is fairly large, and we had the whole thing to run around on like crazy chickens with their heads cut off! I set up a nice, loud PA system--unfortunately the speakers I had to use had their tweeters blown. In layman's terms, that means that there were absolutely no high frequencies being heard. Mostly just bass and midrange sounds. So, the music I was playing sounded very muffled! That's ok, since it was dance music and everyone knows the bass is what matters for that anyways! Heh. Well my team lost all three games we played, but oh well. I still had a good ol' time anyways! Even if I am one of the slowest-footed people out there. What I mean by that is I can run pretty fast in a straight line, but if I'm trying to evade someone then I'm toast. So that means I spent a bit of time in jail. Ah well, it was still very fun!!! One more thing, I've posted yet another song on ACIDplanet--you can listen to it by clicking here. So there you guys go. Make sure to check out Eleventyseven! And sorry for my recent lack of posting, I've mostly been working on a remix for a contest at ACIDplanet.com and doing school and working and playing Tremulous (which I posted about a while back). Sick coworkers, remix contests, and more!Posted at 3:47 PM on Oct. 2, 2007
Well yesterday was certainly interesting. That morning I got a call from my supervisor saying one of the workers had called in sick and they needed me to come in and help out. That was fine with me, I mean, I get more hours and more $$$$!! Heh. Things got very interesting that afternoon though. Apparently there was another schedule mixup and one of the girls thought she wasn't coming in that day (that's the way it was on her schedule copy). SO, the afternoon supervisor Amanda was going nuts trying to find SOMEONE to come help out. Thankfully the afternoons are fairly slow, and we did finally get someone to come in and help out. I have now discovered that the afternoon shift at my work is with the nuttiest group of people ever! Not in a bad way though, heh. Ah, good times, good time....

In other news, I've launched a remix competition over at a site called 1am-mediaforums.com. I've provided some material, and now hopefully I'll have some good remixes to choose from for my upcoming album. The contest ends in early November, so expect to be able to get it (the album) in about December, if you feel like owning some of muh music. Oh, and one more thing--check out some of the new stuff I've added to my profile playlist. The bottom few are from a really sweet downloadable album from OCRemix.org. That site is dedicated to remixing video game music, and this album remixes the entire Final Fantasy VII soundtrack. Even if you haven't played the game (I haven't), you're sure to love this album. It's got jazz, classical, trance, breakbeat, cinematic, rock, metal, and more! Totally clean too as far as any lyrics go, since most of the songs don't even HAVE lyrics. You can check the whole thing out at FF7.OCRemix.org. Anyhow, hopefully I'll have more to talk about soon! Life is most definitely good.Posted at 12:58 AM on Sep. 30, 2007
Hey y'all, just here to give a little update....

I did NOT end up having to go to the wedding! So that makes me very happy. Instead, I went to a get-together at a friend's house and Airsofted and played Halo 2 (not 3 although that was the original plan). Bought meself an Airsoft gun for the occasion (I'd been planning to buy one anyways), so that was good. It's just a little Mauser pistol, but it works and it's mine and I don't have to borrow peoples' spare guns. I only got hit once, which was quite nice. We played several rounds of Airsoft until it got dark, then we ate pizza, then we played Halo, then some of us went out and played Airsoft in the dark. THAT was an experience, for sure. Earlier today, I went and FINALLY GOT MY DRIVER'S PERMIT!! So I'm very very happy about that too. Also I cashed my last few checks from my job, so now I have a little bit of cash to be able to spend on burgers or something, heh. SO yeah, I'm quite satisfied. And relieved, since I know I didn't really deserve to be able to get out of going to the wedding with the way I complained about it. So yeah, I need to hit the sack now, so I'll catch yizz all later! I Hate WeddingsPosted at 5:02 PM on Sep. 28, 2007
I know I might get a bit of flak from the "more romantically inclined" members of HSB, but here goes.
Comments (5) | Post A Comment! | Permanent Link
I really hate *most* weddings. I can't stand sitting around for 5 hours watching someone I couldn't care less about and their significant other get hitched. It's different when it's a close friend or someone I'm closely related to and know and like a lot, but when (in this case) it's a second-cousin-who-knows-how-many-times-removed who I haven't even seen for several years because she's been too busy with her boyfriend to come to family gatherings, I'm seriously annoyed. Especially since I only found out about it 24 hours previous to when we have to go. It's not like I had any plans for tomorrow, EXCEPT going and getting my driver's permit and opening a checking account! THEN I was going to go to a friend (and D-group member)'s house and play Halo 3 the rest of the day. I may still get to the driver's permit, but then there's the rest of the day totally wasted on some wedding. Weddings, shmeddings. Yeah yeah yeah, I'll change when I get older...BUT THAT'S STILL A LONG WAYS AWAY DOGGONIT!! Don't know if you all can tell, but I'm a bit upset right now.... Yeah. So right now I'm frantically racking my brains trying to find some way out of this. Except I may have already killed what chance I had previously by griping about this. GAH! I'll leave you all now while I go and mutilate myself. Dark Age of Computers? I don't think so.Posted at 4:23 PM on Sep. 27, 2007
Hearkening back to a post made by SugarCone a while back, I thought I'd discuss computers, and stuff.
Comments (2) | Post A Comment! | Permanent Link
Here's what she said: Today my topic is the possibility of a second Dark Ages. I firmly believe that in another few hundred years, maybe even sooner, humankind might go through a "dark" period of time where technological progress and learning basically come to a halt. Why do I believe this? Two reasons. A. This is most important. Our information is stored in computers. Not on scrolls or carved in stone, in hard drives that will soon become obsolete technology. An archeologist of the future will have a difficult time figuring out the archaic devices of today's computers; it will make retrieving information nearly impossible. Now, that fact does not guarantee a dark ages. Perhaps our technology will continue developing at a steady pace and future historians will know exactly how to deal with the outdated curiosity known as a "computer." But honestly, in the event of a nuclear war or some such, our information might be lost, dependent as it is upon computer technology. B. This one really applies more to America. Look at our progress as a society. Sure, our moral depravity has not nearly reached the depths of ancient Greece and Rome, but slowly and surely it's getting there. As we have seen, every great civilization experiences rises and falls...I think America's fall is coming sooner rather than later. And what with Russia returning to the ways of Stalin and unrest in the Middle East magnifying in strength, well, I'm not sure there will be a Western society capable of standing up to these threats. (And I doubt the Eastern ones will do anything, especially what with China such a socialist nation...) My take on this--because of the massive beast that is the Internet, we now have all essential computer software stored on millions upon millions of computer hard drives all over the world. There will be hackers until the end of the world, and by a hacker I mean someone who can code his way out of a paper bag (or something like that...). Computers are such an integral part of our world now that the necessary skills for using a computer will be around even if there is a gigantic world catastrophe. Barring the return of Christ, I think it's safe to say computers will be around forever. I hope that came out right.... And oh, about the whole "fall of America" thing--I think its fall will be when the Tribulation starts to happen, personally. Changing the subject now, I lost my wallet on the way to piano lessons yesterday. I rode my bike there since I had to go to work directly afterwards, and I think it fell out of my pocket as I was riding. 'Least, I haven't found it around here yet. Hopefully someone is honest enough to return it to me, since I DID have a card in there with my name-address-phone-number. I only had ten bucks in it, so that's not much of a loss, but I also had my employee benefit card for the place I work--it lets me get $X.XX worth of stuff there every month for free. Plus it's kinda like my employee-ID card too. And then there's the wallet itself, which was a nice handmade one with a stitched American eagle on the front. Oh well.... More about my job, I'm finally out of training! So within the next couple of weeks I'll be getting tips along with my regular paycheck--whee! So yeah, that's another update on The Life and Times of Me. Halo 3 and some other stuff.Posted at 2:32 PM on Sep. 26, 2007
Hey all, I'm still here. Just a lot of stuff going on in life, so I don't have a lot of time for blogging.

I think I'll mention the recent Halo 3 launch. Unless you've been living in a cardboard box underground on Mars, you've probably heard at least SOMETHING about Halo 3. Since it's the biggest game launch of the year, it's gotten about every other tech headline. It even showed up in the Wall Street Journal, to give you an idea of how all-encompassing this whole deal is. It's really rather annoying, all this coverage. Especially when most of the other coverage is about Apple, Inc's iPhone. Anyways, I do sometimes play Halo so I can appreciate what all the fuss is about. It's certainly a good game with good graphics and good, well, everything. 'Cept language, but that's one of the reasons it's rated M. Anyways, my point is that there really is more to life than video games. Games do come and go, but people are around a lot longer than the latest new hot video game. Don't get me wrong! I absolutely love gaming, and I think this whole Halo 3 thing is really neat. Couldn't they have driven the hype machine a little less hard, though? I'll (hopefully) get to see what all the fuss is about this weekend when I go over to a friend's house and actually get my grubby little hands on a controller and PLAY the darn thing. In other news, I've just released a new song, which you can check out by clicking here. Hope you like it, since it's a breakneck-paced Drum'N'Bass song. Games I'm playing at the moment: Tremulous (FPS) Final Fantasy VI Advance (RPG) Age of Empires II: The Conquerors Expansion (RTS) Legend of Zelda: The Minnish Cap (RPG) And now some terminology: FPS = first person shooter. Pretty obvious as to what that means. You have a first-person view, and you shoot things. RPG = Role Playing Game. You play as the game's main character, where you do quests and fight battles and whatnot. RTS = Real Time Strategy. You are in control of certain things, like the various "units" and buildings and stuff like that. You are responsible for keeping your team going by collecting resources and stuff. You are trying to strategically win the game by conquering the other teams or by completing some certain task. You do all this in real-time, so that means you don't take turns during the game. Everything happens at once. Well, I guess I'll catch y'all later! Summer Part 2, plus..school curriculum!Posted at 6:48 PM on Sep. 19, 2007
Alright, so here's the second part of my "This Summer" series:
Comments (4) | Post A Comment! | Permanent Link
In this one I'm supposed to talk about one particular thing during the summer that I did, so I think I'll talk about our church's VBS that I helped in.
This year's VBS, being in the year “007,” naturally had to have a spy theme. In the skit that goes along with every year's VBS, the good guys—SonForce--were trying to stop the bad guys—C.H.A.O.S.—from taking over the world and generally making, well, chaos.
The bad guys' schemes ranged from destroying all the world's electronics to creating massive amounts of static to leave everyone stranded in their tracks.
Eventually the good guys won and most of the bad guys were sent to some sort of rehab.
So, to go along with that theme, the kids' lessons had “messages from the guidebook” (the Bible), and things like that.
I helped out by taping every skit and running the soundboard for secondary lessons. Which is one of my favorite things to do, of course.
So yeah, that was VBS007 at my church. Sorry if that was kind of lame, I was quite preoccupied when I wrote it. OK, so this year for school curriculum (ooh-rah....), I'm doing: Bible - Balancing the Sword curriculum. History - Currently watching the "Drive-Thru History (with Dave Stotts)" videos Math - Calculus, right now I'm currently watching a video overview course thingy about it. Physics - Basically the same as above, 'cept with physics. Possibly a literature course coming up soon. I'm finishing up chemistry and advanced mathematics (pre-calc), as well. So yeah, that's what's keeping me so busy lately, along with my job and working out three times a week. I'm also going to be hosting a major podcast sometime within the next month, so stay tuned for that. Wow, wasn't that exciting! Coffee Shop Anecdotes (Ep. 1), plus a new song!Posted at 10:31 PM on Sep. 14, 2007
Thought I'd post a little bit about some funny stuff that's happened at my job (I work at a coffee shop, but not *shudder* Starbucks!) lately, most notably one incident today.

We had a customer in the drive-thru today that had ordered a large iced vanilla latte with an extra shot of espresso. He also ordered another drink as well. I'd heard at least part of the order, so I made the latte and gave it to Eric (the head barista) who'd taken the order. The person came up to the window, and Eric then rang up the order on the register. Now, there's this order for two different drinks sitting on our order screen at the hot bar, so another coworker started making the latte again, not knowing that I'd made it. Eric notices this and stops Cambria (the other coworker) from finishing the drink, but she'd already pulled the espresso shots. Four, to be precise. They finish making the order, but there's still these four shots of espresso sitting around. By the way, that's a LOT of caffeine! Cambria asks what to do with it, and Eric says "Drink it! I'll give you 5 bucks if you do it without stopping." Cambria says, "No, not worth it." "I'll give you 10 bucks." "No." "Twenty." "Umm...." "Well, I'll do all your tasks for a week if you can drink it." Now, the full-time workers all have tasks to do on any given day, such as cleaning out the drains or polishing the woodwork around the shop or whatever. Our shift supervisor, Jennifer (who also makes the list on who does what each day) is, of course, standing by and watching all this. Cambria decides that all her tasks for a week is worth it, so she downs the shots. Now Eric has to do all of Cambria's tasks for a week! And of course, Jennifer is going to assign all the nasty tasks to "Cambria," so Eric has to do them. So that's a funny story for ya! On another note, I've just posted a new song on my ACIDplanet page! You can listen to it by clicking here. Catch y'all later! Summer Summary, part 1Posted at 4:18 PM on Sep. 11, 2007
Hey all. For part one my beginning-of-the-year writing assignment, I was told to write about my summer in general. I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and make this a blog entry as well. Now, I'm supposed to write two more reports as well and these will show up in the blog too this week.
Anyways, at the start of the summer was our church's VBS (Vacation Bible School). I helped out in the sound area, running the camera during the main session and running sound for the secondary session. This was in early June. Then at the end of the week, I went away to summer camp!
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about summer camp. On the one hand, it's GREAT to be able to take a few days to just focus on God. It's also great to be able to meet people and generally chill out. However, as with many highschool camps, the games were messy-gross-unsanitary-and-generally-not-that-great. Games included ones where you had to get all the peanut butter off a sheet of plexiglass without using your hands. Or where you had a sundae built on top of your head and people ate the sundae off of you. Yuck. Anyways, I didn't care for summer camp in that regard. However, the teaching and discipleship times were definitely worth going for.
I can't really recall anything special happening in July, except for the usual hanging out with friends, playing video games, making music...the usual stuff. August was a pretty full month, I'd say. I had a couple of LAN parties—this is where a bunch of people get together with their computers and play games over a network. We played games like Age of Empires and Half-Life. Much fun!
Then towards the end of August, of course, was vacation. On vacation we went to family camp in Colorado run by Little Bear Wheeler—and that's where I met Chris. He's the reason you're even reading this right now, in fact! At camp, we played lots of basketball and Wallyball (volleyball in a racquetball court). That was most definitely my favorite part of vacation.
After camp, we headed up to Estes Park, CO, and visited Rocky Mountain National Park (you can see a slideshow of images in a previous post) and generally just chilled for a few days. Which was very nice. While we were up there we visited some great friends who'd moved out of Phoenix a couple years ago. Definitely great seeing them again.
After Estes Park we headed to Denver to visit cousins and the aquarium. We stayed in a neat little rental house in the heart of Denver. The boys stayed in the basement, which smelled like a garden—you know, manure fertilizer? Actually wasn't that bad, to be honest.
After a few days in Denver we headed home in a 16 hour drive from Denver to Phoenix. And that pretty much brings us to here!
So, that was my summer. Microwaves, car trips, and plumbing, oh my!Posted at 9:57 AM on Sep. 10, 2007
Well, it's another entry. Since my last entry we've gotten back home to AZ after having driven 870 miles straight from Denver to Phoenix. 16 long hours of driving...ugh. Don't really want to go through that again, heh. That was on Friday. We left Denver at 5:30 (AZ time) and got home at 9:30.

Well, the next day we discovered that our microwave had finally decided to give up the ghost. My mom thought she had it on a timer setting, but the front of it was getting really hot and it smelled like it was burning. My dad went and turned off the power to shut off the microwave, and then the main house electrical circuit promptly shut itself down. No power at all in our house for about 20 minutes, which was rather interesting. Later that day we discovered that our kitchen sink was totally clogged up. We couldn't run our dishwasher or use the sink, which is REALLY BAD when you've got dishes to wash for a family of 11 people! So the plumber came out on Sunday (and we got charged 2x as much because of it) and fixed it, and now everything works again. Hopefully, nothing else blows within the next week! Another thing that made this weekend hard for me and for our family was our youth pastor resigned from our church. He felt like God wanted him to move on, so....yeah. It's a big bummer for me, especially since he's not the only one from our youth leadership that's gone. Our band leader and our head sound tech guy both left as well, along with some other leadership. This leaves ME in charge of sound tech--which is a great privilege, but I'd rather be second fiddle. Especially since I really respect the guy who was in charge before, even though we both know about the same amount about sound tech. Also, my youth pastor and the band leader were the two most influential men in my life besides my dad, so it's really hard to see them go. *Sigh* Well, life goes on and so does the school year. Since I'm back home I'm probably not going to have nearly as much time for blogging as I did on vacation. I now have school and work to attend to, as well as all my church stuff. So, I'm probably not going to be posting every day. Keep leaving comments though, I'll try to return them! In closing, here's a few hands-up dance songs worth listening to: Mangoo - Eurodancer (Penta P Mix) Nitronix - N-R-G Exer - Wake Up and Feel Until next time! Tremulous, and some more good musicPosted at 11:59 AM on Sep. 6, 2007
Thought I'd make a post today about one of my favorite games--Tremulous! It's an online first-person shooter that's open source and free. That means you don't have to pay a thing for it. I don't know who all enjoys these kinds of games, but I certainly do.

Here's a couple of screenshots from the Tremulous website (www.tremulous.net) in all their glorious low-res detail: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Hopefully that wasn't too hard on th' dial-uppers. Anyways, it's free to download and there's a thriving clan base. My clan is Dretches'R'Us (a dretch is the lowest level alien class) and my name on Tremulous is [DRU]Vortexx. You can check our website here. It's about a 100 megabyte download for the game, so probably not for the dial-up crowd. Sorry. Also, it does have a very slight amount of blood in it--I don't know what everyone's criteria for game playability are. It's also fairly heavy on the system resources, but as long as you have a computer built within the last two or three years you should be fine. Now I'll give a couple links to good songs. Again, these songs don't really have lyrics so there shouldn't be anything offensive in them. Dfault - Simple Things (Takashi Fujimori Remix) Silexz - Entropy Freak I.V. - D&B Life These songs are in the Drum'N'Bass genre, which can get quite wild at times. "Entropy" and "D&B Life" are examples of this. However, D'n'B can also be quite relaxing and/or emotional as demonstrated by Takashi's take on Dfault's "Simple Things." Anyways, hope you like these. Next time if I can remember I'll post some hands-up style dance music. Adios. Rocky Mountain National Park - PhotosPosted at 9:22 PM on Sep. 5, 2007
Well, I said I'd upload some pictures of Rocky Mountain National Park, so here's a slideshow.

Shouldn't be TOO hard on the dial-up, since it's pretty low-resolution. Anyways I don't really have much else to talk about tonight, so here ya go. Cue the Theme MusicPosted at 9:13 AM on Sep. 4, 2007

Basketball, racquetball. When is your birthday? February ze 7th What is your favorite transportation? Probably muh recumbent bike. Actually it's my dad's, but I use it a lot more than he does. What is your favorite board game? I don't usually care for board games that much, but I do enjoy a good round of Parcheesi now and then. What is your favorite website? AftershockPromotions.com, HSB, ACIDplanet.com, KVRaudio.com, UserFriendly.org Last person you talked to on the phone? Uhh...haven't talked on the phone for at least a week now. So I don't remember. Where do you like to shop? Online--Newegg.com and Zzounds.com and MusiciansFriend.com. Although browsing around in Guitar Center or Fry's Electronics is fun too. What did you eat for dinner? Soup. What is your favorite car? Sprinter van, Mini Cooper, PT Cruiser. Where do you live? Arizona, near the PHX area. What is your favorite vegetable? Jicama is good. So are carrots. And cabbage. Now that that's out of the way, I'm going to link you all to a few songs worth listening to. I'll warn you that these are not Christian songs, but they don't have lyrics or anything. Lots of dance music is that way. Sauvage and GM Wizard - Rouge Winter Inny Binny - Scintillate Sonic Ether - Kinetic Hope y'all enjoy these. One more thing I'll mention, is that at AftershockPromotions.com we've recently released a free download-able album featuring several artists from the Aftershock crew and some ACIDplanet artists. I've even got a song on there too. Again, the album is definitely NOT Christian and you might consider asking your parents to listen to the album with you if you think that's a good idea, but there are some good tracks on there. Some tracks do include vocals, but several tracks don't have vocals so there's plenty good to listen to. It's in a DJ mix style, where the tracks blend into each other. Really neat. I think you may have to sign up for the site in order to download the album, but all they ask for is your email and they never send out spam or anything at all. Just maybe one announcement every 6 months or so. If that. Note: I am really trying to return all my comments, especially since I'm on vacation and actually do have time to do it. Well now I gotta get going since we're heading down to Denver from Estes Park this morning. Be back later! <- Last Page | Next Page -> |
