Everyone thinks I'm nuts. I like it that way!

What? A homeschooler that makes club dance music? Yup! This blog speaks of music, politics, religion, life, and just plain randomness or ranting.

Coffee Shop Anecdotes (Ep. 1), plus a new song!

Posted at 10:31 PM on Sep. 14, 2007
Thought I'd post a little bit about some funny stuff that's happened at my job (I work at a coffee shop, but not *shudder* Starbucks!) lately, most notably one incident today.

We had a customer in the drive-thru today that had ordered a large iced vanilla latte with an extra shot of espresso.  He also ordered another drink as well.  I'd heard at least part of the order, so I made the latte and gave it to Eric (the head barista) who'd taken the order.  The person came up to the window, and Eric then rang up the order on the register.

Now, there's this order for two different drinks sitting on our order screen at the hot bar, so another coworker started making the latte again, not knowing that I'd made it.

Eric notices this and stops Cambria (the other coworker) from finishing the drink, but she'd already pulled the espresso shots.  Four, to be precise.  They finish making the order, but there's still these four shots of espresso sitting around.  By the way, that's a LOT of caffeine!

Cambria asks what to do with it, and Eric says "Drink it!  I'll give you 5 bucks if you do it without stopping."

Cambria says, "No, not worth it."

"I'll give you 10 bucks."

"No."

"Twenty."

"Umm...."

"Well, I'll do all your tasks for a week if you can drink it."

Now, the full-time workers all have tasks to do on any given day, such as cleaning out the drains or polishing the woodwork around the shop or whatever.  Our shift supervisor, Jennifer (who also makes the list on who does what each day) is, of course, standing by and watching all this.

Cambria decides that all her tasks for a week is worth it, so she downs the shots.

Now Eric has to do all of Cambria's tasks for a week!  And of course, Jennifer is going to assign all the nasty tasks to "Cambria," so Eric has to do them.

So that's a funny story for ya!

On another note, I've just posted a new song on my ACIDplanet page!  You can listen to it by clicking here.

That's great. Was she crazy the rest of the day? I love coffee but can only drink it in small amounts or I literally start shaking and get sick.

LOL! Nothing interesting happens at my job. Unless it's someone sleeping in a chair and has the janitor end up yelling at them. Then there has to be something going on between the janitor and the woodchuck outside.
that janior. Seriously.
