Everyone thinks I'm nuts. I like it that way!

What? A homeschooler that makes club dance music? Yup! This blog speaks of music, politics, religion, life, and just plain randomness or ranting.

Summer Part 2, plus..school curriculum!

Posted at 6:48 PM on Sep. 19, 2007
Alright, so here's the second part of my "This Summer" series:

In this one I'm supposed to talk about one particular thing during the summer that I did, so I think I'll talk about our church's VBS that I helped in.

This year's VBS, being in the year “007,” naturally had to have a spy theme. In the skit that goes along with every year's VBS, the good guys—SonForce--were trying to stop the bad guys—C.H.A.O.S.—from taking over the world and generally making, well, chaos.

The bad guys' schemes ranged from destroying all the world's electronics to creating massive amounts of static to leave everyone stranded in their tracks.

Eventually the good guys won and most of the bad guys were sent to some sort of rehab.

So, to go along with that theme, the kids' lessons had “messages from the guidebook” (the Bible), and things like that.

I helped out by taping every skit and running the soundboard for secondary lessons. Which is one of my favorite things to do, of course.

So yeah, that was VBS007 at my church.

Sorry if that was kind of lame, I was quite preoccupied when I wrote it.

OK, so this year for school curriculum (ooh-rah....), I'm doing:
Bible - Balancing the Sword curriculum.
History - Currently watching the "Drive-Thru History (with Dave Stotts)" videos
Math - Calculus, right now I'm currently watching a video overview course thingy about it.
Physics - Basically the same as above, 'cept with physics.
Possibly a literature course coming up soon.
I'm finishing up chemistry and advanced mathematics (pre-calc), as well.

So yeah, that's what's keeping me so busy lately, along with my job and working out three times a week.

I'm also going to be hosting a major podcast sometime within the next month, so stay tuned for that.

Wow, wasn't that exciting!
